Germany-Netherlands football game cancelled after security alert

The Hannover Stadium, hosting the match, started to be evacuated less than two hours before kick-off.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel was set to attend the match at the 49,000-capacity HDI Arena.

There had been a bomb threat about an hour earlier.

One bomb threat has already been confirmed false, but a "concrete danger" has been denounced for the entire city. No details or evidence for this danger has been reported though, so it might still be a false alarm.

Everyone is out of the arena, watching German television right now.

But it's scary, they cancelled it last minute because of specific threats.

And now they're saying that the Tui Arena will be evacuated as well - a concert was planned there for today.

Also the TUI Arena in Hannover - where German band "Söhne Mannheims" were scheduled to play a sold-out concert tonight - got cancelled.

The people get evacuated in this very moment...

The concert got not cancelled and the venue got not evacuated. It seemed so, because thousands of people are still waiting outside to get in. Because of extremely tight checking at the entrances there is a huge crowd in front of the concert hall...

I don't think they will evacuate a concert and a big foodball game for nothing tbh

Hope this ain't true though. 

Poor Europe, even if this isn't true, the fear is awful. I remember being so scared after 9/11, so i can understand it.
