Sarah Paulson has been criminally underused this season tbh. And she hasn't shared a scene with Gaga

Katie14 4,828
This was a really great episode. As usual, Gaga's acting is wonderful and her back story was fascinating. I love the range of emotions she expressed, especially when playing the naive, young girl, and then the scene when she is about to commit suicide. That was really intense. Some aspects of the Countess's past doesn't really make much sense though. Why were all these men (and woman) so interested in her? She was just a typical movie extra. Although Gaga's acting in the suicide scene was very well done, I thought it was kind of ridiculous that her character was so really to kill herself literally seconds after finding out her boyfriend was "dead". How pathetic and desperate is that? They apparently spent the whole summer together, but we only saw them together in one scene, so her wanting to commit suicide over his death seemed very unrealistic. Also, what made the Countess so evil and interested in murder? The scene with March where she catches him killing the hobo and then says,"I want to watch" seemed so left field. She was just a sweet, young girl. When did she turn into a sociopath? Did the death of her lover just completely blacken her soul? By the way, did we find out who turned the Countess? We only have three (alive) men left in the cast and John seems too obvious, mostly because it has been too obvious since episode 3. I didn't even think of that!!!! She was just a sweet, young girl. When did she turn into a sociopath? Did the death of her lover just completely blacken her soul? By the way, did we find out who turned the Countess? Rudolph Valentino turned her. they can't explain everything in a 40 minute episode. you're actually the first person I've seen talk about this so i think it goes to show how most people didn't mind the slight choppiness it had. As for going from sweet to evil, I thought that was explained by the fact that she said she liked the darkness March had. That, along with the fact that he had money. Why complain about what someone does when they're spoiling you constantly? The s-x scene spoke volumes you too. A purely innocent girl wouldn't just start choking her husband during s-x, especially not with that much ferocity. I believe Elizabeth has always had that darkness within her. it's not like Rudolph was a 'good' person. And in episode 2 when Elizabeth sees Tristan for the first time, she talks about how he has a darkness within him. So, no, I don't think it was some random transition. I think Elizabeth was always like that. Caring about children and getting all flustered around men she thinks are attractive doesn't mean she's a perfect angel. I do agree with the part about her trying to kill herself. Though I guess it was a moment of passion since Rudolph was her first love but it was pretty tropey. March probably knew it was a rash decision and that's why he follows her out there (that and the apparent love her has for her lol). To be fair, it was only Rudolph, his wife, and March who were enthralled with her so I don't know why you're implying that everyone wanted to get in her pants. 7 minutes ago, whipopotamus said: Or why she randomly turned blonde. Also yeah Finns new character turned her. hair dye exists. ------- So I don't have to double post, I'll just add my opinion attached to this. I thought this episode was great. One of my favorites. Props to John for not being boring this time around. There's no way he could be the killer now that we saw Wren. It does suck how she killed herself before even telling him who the murderer was though, lol. IT can't be Rudolph since he was stuck inside the hotel when the murders started so i suppose it could be Will Drake but there's really no leads on that since he hasn't shown any suspicious tendencies. March was great like expected. Kinda feel bad for him--Elizabeth is breaking his poor, black heart but that little clapback fest they were having at the dinner was pretty entertaining. And what he did was honestly amazing. I mean, putting the two people she loved right under her nose? That's some serious payback lmao. Can't wait for ep. 8. Sally and March have a ton of scenes and they're my favs so I can't complain about that. emma roberts is an abuser

I think she sort of became a psychopath after believing her lover abandoned her... That kind of development isn't too far off by AHS standards, lmao. When Valentino died in real life a lot of women who never even met him attempted suicide lol, so that part was on point. But yea for the most part the flashbacks were lazy because there was no chemistry between Elizabeth/Valentino/his wife, Valentino's wife in particular was horribly acted and there was no believable motivation there. Ryan Murphy is never good at believable character motivations or relationships though. Just like the Tristan/Liz Taylor relationship last week, he basically says "these characters need to be in love now for the plot to work", and you just have to take it at face value. doveve 526
I was thinking about Countess' child. Who is his father? Was it Valentino? She married March in 1925 after Valentino 'died', then he infected her with the virus (the next year?) and was burried between those walls. In episode 6, it was 1926 when the Countess went to that house to have an abortion. Was she still married to March? I don't remember when he died. The doctor called her Mrs Johnson (or sth like that). So? Or is it not an important part of the whole story? All in all, I was finally convinced that this series is so stupid and so out of context and so unrealistic.. So many things are wrong in this series. Don't want to even begin. It's like it was made by total amateurs. But oh well, maybe that's their goal. Speaking about the plot and characters, I think that you cannot judge it realistically in any way. It's like interpreting metaphors literally. I guess that in oder to watch this whole thing you have to leave you common sense behind the door, because nothing makes sense. Nothing. You have to play by their rules and accept that you're in their fantasy world.
Phoenix 17,395
I loved the last night's episode, and how Finn came back, I am so happy because of that. The whole episode was such fun, like it was so excitting. Loved how there was a lot of Gaga and how her acting was so on point, I think it's the best so far. Also her s-x scene with March was a highlight for me. 💎

Brad 2,457
Just finished watching the episode and this is right up at the top of my favorites list with the Halloween episode. All the backstory, seeing Elizabeth's vulnerability in her early days, seeing why she prefers certain men, the fear in her eyes when the hole containing Rudolf and his lover was opened... This whole episode was just awesome! #𝟏 𝐁𝐢𝐎𝐍𝐢𝐂 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍
