Yeah, from the songs I heard from her and what other people have told me most of her songs seem to be about some guy who isn't good for her...abusive, etc.

He's called Jim

He hit her but it felt like a kiss

"it's anti-feminist" Grow up. FFS 21st century Feminazis are a huge problem in society today and are holding back women more than any man could or would.

People like you using the word  feminist as a dysphemism, should stop living their lives in an illusional etopia.

The person in the OP is only trying to say, that Gaga would never write a song like that, because she has become more independent. What is wrong with that? I agree the song is certainly not anti-feminist, but there's no need to use the word "feminazi" like a f*ckboy.

I'm a feminist and I don't see how Paparazzi is feminist or anti-feminist at all.

The song is pretty clearly about Paparazzi and the video focuses on the rise, fall, and rise again of the Pop artist. The man isn't meant to represent an actual lover, he's supposed to be the industry. She falls in love with him, becomes powerful with him, then he pushes her off the balcony of her home to kill her and keeps everything she's earned. But she survives and returns to destroy him; or rather, kills the industry and becomes famous on her own.

It's not about gender/female empowerment, it's about rising up against the industry and using it to your benefit instead of letting it use you for their own gain. I guess a part of that could be a little feminist, but not enough for me to say feminist or anti-feminist is a descriptor for the song or video.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.
