They need to know basics of German first, in construction they need to know the names of all the tools etc, to understand what they are suppose to do, in many other European countries immigrants need to go through courses  first even for cleaning because of all the different products, they can't mix up something and damage the floors for example. Many of them might be highly educated and have no idea about building. For women, there are maybe small kids to look after, idk what is the procedure about admitting them to kindergartens. Maybe some would work 'under the table', but that's not legal and they should follow the laws.

They don't have to know English in the US to get the type of jobs I listed. The cleaning products are provided. People of all backgrounds can clean rooms or office buildings or wash dishes. You get jobs when your kids are in school or at night when your husband is home to watch the kids. Family members and family friends watch your kids. "You watch my kids when I work, I will watch yours when you are working" situation. People do that all the time.

You do what you have to do, while learning the language and then move up from there.

Bringing this many people over without allowing them to get jobs seems highly irresponsible and counteractive to integration.

That's great, then the US should take even bigger number of refugees when your integration works so much faster and better than in Europe.

The US has plenty. Europe and the Middle East can handle this one. They can also find a way to integrate immigrants and refugees...let them get jobs, help find jobs for them, let them go to college eventually, etc.

But Europe is different than the US, if your process of integration is so much better there is no reason not to take more. Unless there is some problem about their religion and ethnicity? You can take "proven Christians" as Murdoch says. lmao

No, Europe and ME cannot obviously handle this one. They were not the ones playing the world cop either.

The US has a way lower population density than most of the countries in Europe that are accepting large numbers though :/ I mean the U.K. has a population of 650 per square mile, whilst the U.S. has 84?

Obviously integrating refugees into communities is a hard issue to tackle, but the U.S. should really be taking more, all things considered.

Then Europe needs to start figuring it out, because denying people a right to work isn't doing them any favors.

The US already takes in millions of immigrants every year. (Documented and undocumented) Yes, Europe and the ME can step up and handle this one.

Eh, don't care anything about whether people are Christians or any other religion...or none at all.

You mean there is no available countryside in all these areas of Europe? Lol

The US is already integrating immigrants into the country and has been doing so for years.

I wasn't really saying there isn't, my point is that there's much less populated places in the world (such as the U.S.) for them to go. It shouldn't full upon Europe to fix the problem when the U.S. has been intervening with the Middle East too.

Space is a problem in Europe? In Germany? If they are going to put them in housing projects, why don't they build new ones in areas that aren't as heavily populated? Obviously, places like London or Paris would be difficult, just like New York in the US. There are always small towns and areas outside of major cities.

Autralia, New Zealand and Russia looks ideal! Lol

I'm intrigued, why does this not go against your argument considering the U.S. is less populated when you consider its size?

I guess I don't understood your original comment. Are you saying that there is limited space in all of Europe?

No, I'm not.

I'm saying that there's a lot of space in the United States and they aren't pulling their weight in taking in refugees considering they are very much a part of this mess.

Then there is plenty of space in Europe? (especially in Norway, Sweden and Finland) Also, lots of space in Russia and Australia! :D

Whether the US takes in the 10,000 or more in the upcoming years will depend largely on the outcome of this next election. We shall see what happens.

When I read some of the comments here I wonder if people actually live on the sam planet as I do. Have some of you even talk to refugees? Have talk to immigrants trying to get a job? Do you really think it's THAT easy for them to integrate and for European countries to integrate them? Of course we want them to be able to work but there is a long process first to know who they are and if they really are who they pretend to be, find them a place to stay, teach them the basic of the language (and yes for cleaning job too you need to understand what is happening I have worked in such places) and such. It's a long process and you need money for it.

I find it extremely annoying when the american are criticising the way some countries like Germany are handling it but then tell us that Europe should take care of that on its own. Yes it's easy for you, they aren't going to cross the atlantic to knock on your door and you can be all judgemental and pretend to care when they can't enter your country anyways. I think it's very important that all countries that have participated in this mess and that can take refugee do it, because we all know it's complicated and I don't see why countries like Italy or Greece should handle this on their own because no one wants to do it, they don't have the resources and people will keep coming anyway, should they build a wall? Like wtf some days I am baffled at what I read here

Right wing asshole politicians are rubbing their hands after this tragedy. IS gave them perfect excuse - a passport, it's like they're working together. And only innocent will suffer.

**** you Polish minister. I hope you will go through one day what they go through.

" Poland's new government is now demanding security guarantees before taking in further refugees."

Yeah what *ssholes, they should just let unvetted refugees in! (give me a break...)
