"That is based on no fact" lol

Western governments (and now Russia too) bombing of Syria is directly creating more refugees because bombs don't make a difference between civilian and a terrorist.

Invading Iraq, overthrowing Saddam, firing his whole army, these are all facts, funding and training the rebels against Assad - these are all the reasons IS was able to grow and capture large territory in Iraq and Syria.

It's always "ask those who we always acuse of human rights violations", just please don't let us take any responsibility. Many Syrians are btw very secular and their culture is not exactly the same as in Saudi Arabia. Also you cannot talk about their size when most of it is desert. And the do have half million of Syrians since the start of the war.

You are mixing everything, it's like ISIS to you is a western product which is shocking, where are you from?

The only western government taking action is France, and do you know who they are fighting? ISIS, in favor of Syian humans, do you know who isn't willing to take action? Along with Russia and China, are Iran and Saudi Arabia, they said they don't want to have anything to do with it.

And Saddam was a dictator, Read about Halabja chemical attack (The attack killed between 3,200 and 5,000 people and injured 7,000 to 10,000 more, most of them civilians) and Al-Anfal Campaign (Anfal, was a genocidal campaign against the Kurdish people (and other non-Arab populations) in northern Iraq, led by the Ba'athist Iraqi President Saddam Hussein) and the Invasion of Kuwait by Iraq.

It's sad to read that from you, as you seem to dump the blames on the western people, and give every credit to the arab region.

And as of Saudi Arabia :

It's a shame that the murderous acts of some are taking away the potential for the lives of many to be improved and saved. I hope countries can come together to find a way to help the refugees somehow. :(

Yeah I agree. We need better controls and teach them our values.

I agree with better controls, but that can only happen if less people are let in at a given time. Any country has to have the resources in place to accept large amounts of people. It's impossible to vet hundreds of thousands of people in short periods of time.

Secondly, you can "teach" people values, but they aren't going to listen or care. They already have a value system, one that has been passed down for centuries. They aren't going to change their values because they live in a different place.

It is a defensive tactic. It is a controversial one, but what do you all expect after what happened in Paris?

Yes, ISIS are making everyone assume that refugees are terrorists (8 of them were) but everyone will tar them with the same brush now.

I guess Poland cannot take any chances and they want to do stop something drastic from happening before it happens.

Just a shame that those that are genuinely fleeing from ISIS have to face the uncalled backlash.

In my messy era.

If Poland won't take any by the European Union assigned refugees anymore, they should not get one single Euro transfer payments anymore from the EU.

The same goes for every other country in the European Union, especially for the East European countries.

I believe this will become domino effect soon enough, Poland have started it.

Poland didn't start it, if we're being totally honest.

What about the people born and raised in countries like the US, France, Australia who are converting to ISIS online? The main problem these countries face when it comes to ISIS are their own citizens LEAVING the country to go to Syria and fight for ISIS, It's not refugees coming in and starting conflict.

The vast majority of refugees are fleeing from this exact threat! These are not people who are friends with ISIS, these are people who are fleeing to start a new life away from the threat of ISIS. These refugees are our allies and we have a common enemy.

We have a moral obligation to help these people, especially when you consider the amount of instability in the Middle East that as been caused by the wars, bombings and invasions of western countries within the middle east. We can't get our hands dirty and then refuse to help ease the negative consequences of our decisions.

The more you let in, the more chance you have of having second and third generations down the line turning to radicalization. If takes 10 intelligence agents to keep up with one radicalized individual. That was one of the problems in Paris. There are now too many citizens, who have gone to other lands to train, to keep up with. France simply doesn't have the man power to keep up with them and watch them like they should. The main problem here is trained individuals, not the lone wolf who will kill one to a handful of people. (which is still a trajedy)

As far as I know the majority of immigrants want to live only in Germany, so I don't think it's a problem that Poland is not keen on taking them. My colleague is from Poland and she told me that there were some refugees invited already, however, they escaped to Germany as soon as they could. I wonder how EU wants to force the refugees to stay in countries that they don't like (like Hungary, Lithuania, Slovakia or Poland for instance) - would they lock them there just to prevent them from going to Germany or Sweden? Also, there are countries in Europe (Poland is one of them) that are simply too poor and cannot guarantee anything even its own citizens. Even Poles escape from Poland, because there are neither workplaces nor any welfare support.

I'm Polish and I think it's a great, reasonable move, but knowing our politicians it won't happen too soon. We're scared of European Union. We have this new, fully right-winged government since last Monday and I'm suprised that I actually like any of their ideas, because generally I think that their conservativity will stop Poland from progress - no gay rights, no abortion, no in vitro fertilisation and mixing politics with religion.

I've heard that they were elected mainly because Poles were fed up with the former party, not because of their conservative views on some issues. I'm not into Polish politics (I have very little idea about it in fact, I live in Switzerland), but I've heard for instance about the tape scandal, so I could see the victory of the opposition happening soon.

Poland is a democratic country anyway, if the majority of people doesn't want to take refugees as it is claimed, it should be respected and nobody should force them to do the opposite. Millions of Polish people have to migrate to seek any decent job, so I can understand that it wouldn't be ok for many of them to see their government helping immigrants more than them.

Pretty obvious that this would happen...and other countries will do that as well - not to mention that the far right is going to get a bump in popularity, xenophobia is going through the roof - which means immigrants that are already installed in european countries will be harmed and maybe start to develop this anti-european feeling as well...

I totally get it where the ban comes from, but I wonder if it's the smartest thing to do...

Like, won't it make more of these ppl angry at Europe for not taking them in and more willing to join organizations like ISIS?

Wouldn't it be more sensible to just reinforce control over the borders, so ppl coming in could be really, deeply checked? So good ppl, fleeing from conflict, could come in and start a new life, while terrorists could maybe be caught while trying to enter and be questioned and arrested?

Idk...this ban feels like the knee-jerk, fear-based response ISIS wants from the west...just a though...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

I don't blame them for taking this desision, I would also do the same, Europe already helped A LOT of people and did their best to save lives no matter how dangerous it could be, plus it's impossible to take ALL of them, it's just not realistic, if other countries are going to keep accepting reffugees they should at least accept children only and if its possible women too

Yes blame a group of hundreds of thousands of people because of the acts a few, well done. That's not being smart, it's called being ****ing selfish.

Well just like most of you here.

Did I say that ? My point is that France is for me responsible of what's happening in its own country.
