IS is taking advantage of those people migrating to put their own military into them and get them to western countries. It doesn't mean refugees lives don't matter, it's the opposite, the massacre should end NOW in a way or the other. There should be a summit ASAP and countries like Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran should also be present because there is a human/humanitarian urge. If you want to send refugees back that means their lives don't matter, you are sending them to slaughter house. 1 minute ago, Simon said: I didn't see anyone doing that in this thread. I was blindly supporting the huge influx of refugees. I was on a "refugee welcome" party and the amount of times of s-xual harassment was horrible. Nevertheless, those reason shouldn't be the reasons that refugee shouldn't come here. It shows they have a different view on several things like religion, woman or Jews. Education is the most important thing if they want to stay here and I think the huge majority wants to stay here.

On many other sites as well. People who were racist towards them before are just repeating "I told you so", when those people had nothing to do with it. Right now people are really afraid that they can't think rational. Terrorists succeeded with this and I wonder what aftermath it will have. I'm afraid more people get radical islamist and get radical far right. And tbh I already don't feel safe anymore that my family thought about moving away from Europe. We as Europeans are always so proud of our democracy and human rights, but when it comes to action very few show their humanity. All of the countries bordering Syria are full with refugee camps, they all took them, except one. And even the other richer countries have hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees since the beginning of the war, despite early misinformation. Turkey has them too; ~ 2 million. They don't deserve to be left on their own, our own governments have responsibility for the war in ME. FreePalestine

And are promoting "peace" through their religion. And have enough money to live off with Syria and all the other countries of the Middle East combined. Or talk to Emirates, or Qatar, these countries share same roots, language, culture and religion, yet they chose not to have any Syrian refugee plans. And don't say "our own governments have responsibility for the Syrian-IS war" because that is based on no fact! ISIS is a network of devil people, coming from Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad, Tanzim Qaidat al-Jihad fi Bilad al-Rafidayn and Mujahideen Shura Council. Moreover, it's not the time to find who is the culprit and who is the victim because the fact is : There are victims, and that should stop as soon as the humanity can stop it! "That is based on no fact" lol Western governments (and now Russia too) bombing of Syria is directly creating more refugees because bombs don't make a difference between civilian and a terrorist. Invading Iraq, overthrowing Saddam, firing his whole army, these are all facts, funding and training the rebels against Assad - these are all the reasons IS was able to grow and capture large territory in Iraq and Syria. It's always "ask those others (who we always accuse of human rights violations)", just please don't let us take any responsibility. Many Syrians are btw very secular and their culture is not exactly the same as in Saudi Arabia. Also you cannot talk about their population and size when most of it is desert. And they do have half million of Syrians since the start of the war. FreePalestine
Ophelia 5,440
I'm Polish and I think it's a great, reasonable move, but knowing our politicians it won't happen too soon. We're scared of European Union. We have this new, fully right-winged government since last Monday and I'm suprised that I actually like any of their ideas, because generally I think that their conservativity will stop Poland from progress - no gay rights, no abortion, no in vitro fertilisation and mixing politics with religion. ...has anybody seen my disco stick? Bebe 17,289
What about the people born and raised in countries like the US, France, Australia who are converting to ISIS online? The main problem these countries face when it comes to ISIS are their own citizens LEAVING the country to go to Syria and fight for ISIS, It's not refugees coming in and starting conflict. The vast majority of refugees are fleeing from this exact threat! These are not people who are friends with ISIS, these are people who are fleeing to start a new life away from the threat of ISIS. These refugees are our allies and we have a common enemy. We have a moral obligation to help these people, especially when you consider the amount of instability in the Middle East that as been caused by the wars, bombings and invasions of western countries within the middle east. We can't get our hands dirty and then refuse to help ease the negative consequences of our decisions.
