A very good friend of mine said: How come you, who are so intelligent, have such bad taste in music? I was so majorly pissed off and (after yelling at her that at least I *have* a taste in music and don't waste an hour of my life looking for my copy of 'Cats') put on this majorly annoying, yet classically culish song.... There's a piece of embarrasing moaning after some minutes which is the whole point, but was allways the cause of some veryveryvery embarrasing moves on the dancefloor. If you listen to the backing wocals of Ms. Dust you'll realize it's a nom de plume (that's right! I speak French! If I'm really drunk I even speak it fluently!) There was some lame controversy about this song, sparked by the persistent naming of the illicit substance ECSTASY (MDMA: Methylene Dioxy Meth Amphetamine) One DJ refused to play it. S u c k e r ! ! ! A song mentions the name of a drug! I must try it! A far-fetched claim to fame (I can make a few about Madonna, Jean-Paul Gaultier an a huge zit on Janet Jackson's boob, too. But hat's for another time.) So....I knew a guy who delivered a tanning bed to the girl who did the insane vocals to the above song. He was a pretty stupid guy, but still one of the first gay persons I got to know. He died from an overdose of pills and alcohol. He had HIV so he would be dead now anyways. Here's a Gaga reference: The model called Emma wears in this video the same Mugler metal corset thingy as Gaga wears in the Paparazzi video! And it's the same one, because they only made this only one molded from the models body. Emma can't wear it now as she quit modeling and actually eats nowadays. Or most days at least. George Michael - Too Funky Thls is from the days when other artists than Lady Gaga put some effort into making music videos.
