I know families from Lebanon and they do not have that 'mentality'. 3 attacks happened in same day and you can barely find mentions in media of the other two.

I see it as a movement of solidarity, it restores my faith in humanity somewhat that everyone on my feed, all my friends, are standing united against such a thing. I have very few ways of actually helping out, but its all the little things, like people coming together against a common cause that matter in times like this.

It should be done more if anything else.

Spoken like someone who doesn't even understand Lebanese geo-politics. 

The attack was done in a Hezbollah neighborhood. Given that people there are fully armed Hezbollah militia, I'd hardly call the area civilian. It was a terrorist vs terrorist attack with unfortunate civilian casualties given the location.

Then again I'm hardly surprised. Hezbollah terrorists love placing themselves within civilian ranks. It's the best away to avoid getting blasted by Israel.

Don't tell me not to generalize when you're generalizing yourself.

Behind closed doors, Sunni muslims won't shed any tears for Shia deaths, and Christians are neutral at best. Hezbollah deaths mean nothing to them. Lebanon has been a permanent religious battleground. At this point these things barely ping on anyone's radar.

Not claiming that this explosion won't have any effects, but the situation in Paris is orders of magnitude more alarming for the entire population.

It's called solidarity. What is lighting up monuments with the French flag colors gonna do? NOTHING.

What is #PrayForParis gonna do? NOTHING.

It is purely symbolic.
