Those tragedies just pile up and people are generally concerned but not surprised. Furthermore, you already have PLENTY of places to discuss violence in the Middle East and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. No one should be 'used to it' and it's obvious that Western world doesn't care much about the tragedies in ME. So FB decision is not surprising. Yeah Paris was seen as a 'safe' place, it became de battlefield when nobody was expecting it... In one hour 129 people died and +300 are injured or are between life and death. It's fine to think that every victim of terrorism is equal, but to think that people are wrong for paying more attention to the attacks in Paris than an attack in Lebanon is ridiculous. You may not like it, and it may not sound moral, but the largest terrorist attack in French history is actually more important than a terrorist attack in a region accustomed to them. A car bomb going off in Damascus is not the same as a car bomb going off in Times Square. There are shootings in the US every day in sporadic locations. Some major shootings make it to national and international news because it's in a school or theater, for example. Now, in a European country, where they have strong gun control and a different gun culture, when ONE shooting happens in a restaurant it makes international news. Why? Well, it is not so common.
