Because shooting terrorists with bombs on themselves is the solution. Jeez, think before you post.

And even without this taken into account, do you really think that a couple of people with handguns could have done something against trained terrorists with kalachnikovs? You cannot defend yourself in this type of situation. Stop it already with this argument. France controls their guns, deal with it.

These terrorists dont have bombs they were just shooting on people! also there was only 2 terrorists in the theater because they knew guns wont be present. 2000 people inside a theater being killed one by one and nobody even security could help them because guns are banned!

They ALL had explosive belts (is that what it's called in english?). Those attacks were suicide bombings. 3 of them exploded themselves around Stade de France, they were 4 of them in the theater, 3 of which exploded as soon as the police entered. Stop talking if you don't know the facts.

As for people carrying guns, yet again, great idea for people to have guns in a huge crowd of people in panic, already being shot at. And most of security was killed at first, when the terrorists entered.

The scary thing is, nowhere is safe anymore. You'd think a theatre would be one of the safest places of all, but even they're under threat. And if they're in France, there's a high chance they're going to come to Britain next, London first on the agenda. The thought of families doing Christmas shopping in the massive shopping malls, thousands of people in big buldings like The Shard, the places where British power is held like Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace...the idea is terrifying. London may not be the only target either - Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow are other obvious places. Just like the attacks on Australia recently, even the most surprising countries and places are being targeted. It's going to get to the point where we're too scared to go outside at all.

There's definitely reasons behind the timing of these attacks - commemoration of WW2, the run-up to Christmas, even the fact it was Friday 13th. Times when people are feeling sad, stressed or superstitious basically. There was apparently attacks planned on Christmas Day in London years ago that failed too. Aiming for occasions like this makes it all the more shocking. I can't even begin to imagine how decent Muslims living in the west must feel right now. To have your culture and religion demonised at every turn and having everyone be suspicious of you all because of some extremists must be stifling and heartbreaking.

There was no bomb in the theater obviously a suicide bomb cant be stopped unless you know they would do that and in this case you can shoot them in the head.. everyone who owns a gun is trained and can do that and it could be prevented if guns were allowed. Julien Pearce who attended the concert described the attackers as calm and determined telling CNN they had reloaded three or four times because they knew people did not have guns. The last school shooting in the US happened because security were not allowed to have guns and one of the security attacked the terrorist with hands and the security was shot in the head.. at the same time, a retired police tried to enter the school with a gun to help the students but was not allowed to enter with a gun because of school gun laws. The shooter traveled to a city with strict gun laws so he wont be threatened.

Uhm there was. Seriously dude, I've been watching news (in France) all day long. They exploded themselves.

I would continue to pointlessly argue with you and try to post a *you're entitled to your wrong opinion* because having a few guns against terrorists who came to blow themselves out anayway would be useless, but you're obivously stubborn and don't even have your facts straight, and I don't really have the strength to do this today anymore. Have fun with your guns.

EDIT: and also, you comparing 6 concomitant terrorist attacks in a same city that probably took months to plan, to a school-shooting where the shooter probably woke up, picked up the gun he had in his nightstand (because guess what it's allowed in your country) and went to shoot a bunch of kids, doesn't make any sense.

Having one gun against two terrorists can help alot even if they wanted to blow themselves up they could have died before doing so.. people having guns can help in other cases like the school shooting and other examples its not always used against terrorists. Me not agreeing with you doesnt make me stubborn it just means you have not come up with a good argument to convince me and as you said you are not willing to do so because you dont have the strength to do that today.

Now saying this this way to someone grieving for his country is disrepectful.

Go back to stanning for Trump, we don't need you here.

Riot Poof

Finding out that one of the victims of the attacks was an American of Latinx descent who was studying abroad is REALLY hitting home for me... Like, this could've been ME if I decided to go to Paris instead of Salamanca.

Rest in peace, Nohemi Gonzalez.

I will continue to pray for those who have died in Paris. I don't know what else to do! I can't stop thinking about what happened. :(

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
