Will Taylor Swift continue to be the biggest music superstar when she takes some time off after the 1989 world tour ends? If this thread doesn't belong here please move it mods. Oh, and sorry for the simple and uncreative title lol. I couldn't think of anything else lol.

It's in the right section :) I've edited the title to make it clear though, just try to make sure that your titles are true to the discussion and so people know what the thread is generally about before they open it :P

To answer the question, I think during her break another person will take over and dominate (Adele I imagine, maybe Rihanna later on) and so on. It's like a constant rotation but I'm sure she'll get straight back up there when her next album is out :yay:

I'm sure she'll come back strong after her break but I don't think she'll make the same splash she made with 1989.  I could be wrong, though.

Look at what happened with Adele.  People thought her long break could hurt her and she came back stronger than ever breaking all sorts of records.  Although, Taylor Swift is no Adele.  I don't think Adele's records will be broken any time soon.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

I think so, I dont see any reason for it to fade, maybe momentarily attention will be focused on Adele but that doesnt last. T's album sales have been consistent and declines slowly in sales since her sophomore album and 1989 is her biggest era.

I think there's always going to be space for new artist to "make it." I mean music is always changing and so is the demographic. Not saying she wont remain relevant, but there's probably going to be a new queen.

Adele is bigger than her though. /thread.

I always want the most overexposed artist to go away... but sadly, they are just replaced by the next overexposed artist.

But since I've never gotten Taylor's appeal AT ALL, I'd be happy for a break from her. Thankfully Adele is stealing some of her thunder!

Thank you for editing the title, Haroon. I think you're right, another artist will take over. I think Adele will the next few months. Taylor will shoot straight back to the top when her next album is out. People love her. And it really is like a constant rotation.

Not if LG5 comes out

You're absolutely right, not if LG5 comes out. Gaga will dominate in 2016.

She'll never have 1989 success again. She'll take a break and never get as big commercially again.
