People already saw what she can do with classic jazz music. Now it's time to let it rest for a while and deliver what has always been her signature style: pop music. I think that not only her fans but also the general public are expecting a new pop album from her. Of course she can do a jazz album before that but I don't think the acclaim would be as big as if she waits 1 or 2 more years to do it and release an era full of pop music before that.
