Azealia Banks cancels debut U.S. tour

I initially didn't want to respond, but here we go.

You should know this part since you're a fan, but I guess not so let me explain some things. Azealia was stuck in a label because they wanted to make her a pop rapper and she wasn't into that. They didn't believe that they had hits on the album that she made, so they shelved it (and yes, she also didn't help herself with her use of social media). Though, waiting payed off because she eventually managed to leave her label with the rights to her music and her money (Azealia is a millionnaire now and pays things herself, she isn't struggling financially (to answer your other post)). She was then able to release her album as she wanted it to be (and it was praised by many critics). That's amazing to me. She is a true artist for staying true to her vision and not let other people mess with it.

If you are actually a fan of her music, I don't understand why should the lack of commercial success even matter to you? Like, when I wait for a new Lady Gaga album, I'm hoping for good music, not #1s... I mean good for her if she manages to get a bunch of money from her art and a huge following, but fans shouldn't care so much about that stuff (if at all).  That's just so weird to me.

Last thing: I follow AB's career with a magnifying glass, so I do know what I'm talking about. Yes, it's possible that she will not release all of these projects, but she is working on them. I'm not making stuff up. I'm an insecure person, but I never feel the need to invent things to make my favorite artists look better. There are plenty of things that Azealia Banks does/says that I find very annoying/problematic, but I remain a loyal fan because she delivers. Also, I never said that her projects were definitely the reason why she cancelled tour dates, but since she delayed Slay-Z because of Coco and its soundtrack (so she says) it would make a lot of sense if her many projects caused this as well.

Aren't you guys tired to have the same arguments over and over again, because I sure am.

All those artists you mentioned are part of big label machines. 

Azealia is doing all of this by herself. Its unfair to compare the two.

Since when did any of those artists mentioned try putting together a mixtape, an album, a role in a movie, a soundtrack and various collaborations all at the same time whilst touring? None of them have.

Shes only worth 3 mill. (Dosent mean she has 3 mill cash to blow)  And That's nothing in perspective of a tour. especially is she's "Self financing like you say" Please get a Community College degree. I hear Bernie Sanders wants to give them away to help people like you.

anyways, Azealia was dropped yet AGAIN from her record label ;o shes not making money and she doesn't have enough to be entertaining her fans...this is truly devastating. If only she had a label to borrow money from then maybe perhaps she'll have more things for fans? she keeps making up excuse but its KARMA thats coming to bite her in the ass and continues to do so. She's losing fans, support, respect, etc and no one here for her.

You realise she doesn't spend a whole lot of money on tours because she basically uses 0 props/stage equipment

Net worth and how much money she has are two different things. And since when the **** was 3 mil not "a lot of money" IF that was all she had. You are the one using no logic.

3 million isn't a lot? She isn't Beyonce or Gaga - you must be used to stanning for girls who are global megastars with lots of product lines who reap in lots of money with 100$million net worths they are the 1%. 3 million is a lot of money
