But guys, we know she has the pipes, it's not like she's always like this. She just had an off night with nerves most probably. It's all good! Besides she will slay the BBC special she's doing. I think the piano is to blame, it sounds as if it's being played in a different key than Adele is singing in. I have no problem with her delivery of the chorus though! You will never please everyone. The thing is that Adele doesn't appear to be that great a live performer, at least not being up to par with what we can expect from her studio recordings. Whatever the reasons, she doesn't either tour that much for such a "dominant" commercial singer. Although I can see the reasons for her commercial success, I think she is a bit of a "show-off" with her vocals in her songs, those tend to sound all the same by the way. It was the first live transmitted to millions performance on a mega show. Still she sung miles ahead the rest of the girls. And doing so in an "off" day says a lot. I wouldn't pay to see her live. Adele has performed fantastically in the past in my opinion. I'm just comparing this performance to the calibre of her previous ones. I definitely can see why she might not interest some. For me I like her as a performer because she's stripped back. I love Gaga because of the theatricality and how full-on she is, but Adele is the other extreme. It's nice to appreciate both I think. C2Cga is probably the closest we will get to Adele like performances in terms of being 'stripped back' and even that was Gagaised with her glamorous outfits (sometimes with tits showing ) and theatricality when she sings. She did sing it before though at the taping of the BBC special that will air next week I think. We got a preview from BBC of that one and she killed it.
