LG5 to be a timeless record

I'm pretty excited for LG5 and her collaboration with RedOne yet i'm a bit worried.
After ARTPOP's underperformance and with all the nonsense and pretentious art stuff, Gaga's image got hurt.
Y'all gonna say 2015 was a great year.<< Οscars, C2C, Grammy's, songwriting awards etc restored her image and the world loves her again>>.
2015 was a great year for her indeed, but all these were just side projects and nothing related to new pop music which is actually her main occupation thus we haven't yet experienced the real test.
If she releases a bad album, 2015's positive feedback won't do her any favors whatsoever.

I hope Gaga realises that she needs to release serious music. An authentic and timeless record.
Not recycled tunes, not silly and incomprehensible lyrics, not basic and dated production. Another just dance in 2015 will flop harder than G.U.Y.
I'm not saying she should only release piano ballads as if this is the only serious genre. No, she could release a full dance album but something fresh, authentic and organic with decent and relatable lyrics. She should stay away from songs like Donatella, Jewels N Drugs, Mary Jane Holland etc. These songs are listenable for like 1 month, she just needs to release great songs. That said, she should have a completely different approach for the promo during the next era. Adele didn't even perform "hello" and she is breaking all records. That's exactly what people need from an artist. Just a great song and not someone trying to shove art down people's throat 24/7 while giving 1000 interviews explaining the meaning of a song/album with the pretentious attitude: <<i'm a real artist and i have nothing to do with the other pop girls, i make art blah blah blah>>. This is so unnecessary and wrong,  just let your views and your artistic spirit speak for itself through your music, your videos and your performances. People will judge whether you are a real artist or not, your own words won't verify anything.

Agreed

She needs something she's never done

Something we can't even imagine atm

It has to be very innovative

I prefer a new sound rather than a throwback

Also I hope it's a personal album

Personal and spiritual albums are taken more seriously than artistic ones

You don't need visuals to be considered art, or fancy fashion

Art can simply be in the dedication and revelation in the work you put out

I agree.

Gaga's image was damaged beyond repair before 2015, but she has not implemented the repair into her main music (which is Pop and ya'll cannot deny that). LG5 will define her legacy and relevancy in the future.

She needs a timeless record to make the public see her for what she truly is - an artist. Not some attention seeking 'weirdo' that relys on gimmicks and costumes (even though they are wrong anyway).

Creating a timeless record is hard to accomplish though even for Gaga's standards.

In my messy era.

Nobody knows the formula for a timeless record but by releasing songs like donatella and Jewels N Drugs it's definitely not the right way to achieve that. I hope she realises that well.

Authentic music WITH SUFFICIENT PROMOTION.

Til It Happens To You is a great example of how a great song is not going to do well commercially without sufficient promotion.

Donatella is a great song but not GP friendly

I agree. I've loved every single Gaga album (BTW and ARTPOP are my faves) but it's time to move on, in my opinion. I've been wishing she would make songs like Madonna's "The Power Of Goodbye", "Sky Fits Heaven" or the Spice Girls' "Viva Forever", "Naked": emotional, grown-up, credible pop. I like that her lyrics are different though, most people sing about love, while Gaga touches on different subjects and in a very peculiar way. I agree that silly songs like "Donatella" and "Mary Jane Holland" are great fun but will hardly stand the test of time though.

1) I agree.

2) Well, I would like 'another Just Dance' not musically but what the Song has, catchy lyrics and an Instrumental that's simple yet sounded fresh when it was released. When The Fame came out, It had elements from the 80's and 90's, but it sounded so fresh and different, I'd like something like that too.

3) I agree. The Donatella Instrumental was used in 2010 by Zedd. That's 3 years before the Album came out. It's should've been obvious for Gaga what it doesn't sound fresh anymore.

4) Adele promoted the crap out of 21, that's why she doesn't need any promo anymore. Gaga should've done that with BTW. This Era, Gaga needs to slowly build her music image up again. Gaga will need to do promotion, but not only in the US. She needs to actually VISIT other countries, go on their shows, perform and sing for them and not only just call them. Gaga spent half of the ARTPOP Promotion time in the US. She should've been the first week in the US, then in Europe and Austrailia and then before the Record comes out back to the US. A TV Commercial and some Stuff like 'Let *new single here* get 100Million Views and I'll release a second special version of the Video!' or something like that. She should use her social media power or work together with Radio Stations, actually visit them, play them some songs, ask them what they like, they will build a relationship with her and support her more.

5) I agree. Saying that you're an artist, doesn't make you an artist. Gaga should at some points just let people here what they like to hear or come up with something new to say. When Gaga says the same thing in every Interview, People are less interested in her. She only showed one Dimension of her during the ARTPOP Era, she needs to be a little funny and human. Being an Artist is who you are, but I'd like something human. That Interview, where she was almost sleeping the whole time, made her seem so non-human, just so unrelatable. Gaga in her early days, was weird but (for me) her goal was more to get comfortable with your weird side and embrace it, and I didn't see that in the ARTPOP Era. During the ARTPOP Era she gave more a 'I am an artist and that makes me better then them basics' feel, and that made her seem like she had such a huge ego, but It turned out she was deeply sad... IDK. Poor Gagz.
