Nothing you said WAS IN CONTEXT. The headlines wildly exaggerate what her tweets were trying to say. You linked me click bait articles. Stop playing towards the angry black woman trope that the media tries to paint her as.

And don't you listen to what i'm saying? I never said she wasn't problematic, I said find me something she's said within the last 2 years, and you didn't. SHE ISN'T AN INFAMOUS RACIST :lmao: I can't with trying to discuss with you and you bring up all these hyperboles :lmao: hahahah.

You were talking about racism, you linked me only 1 thing that was possible racist and that was this link

http://www.centrictv.com/news-views/race-culture/articles/2015/04/01/azealia-banks-explains-why-she-doesn-t-date-black-men.html

please if you want to actually have a mature discussion, please stay on topic and don't divert into these other sub arguments. You said Azealia is an infamous racist, you linked me 1 receipt that could be taken seriously.

If you want to play the game of all offensive things Iggy has said, then I am happy to. But this is specifically racist tweets like you're claiming no? So stick to that then.

At this point you're just bitter and trying to make this about my Icon avi to divert the discussion because you got proven wrong by Harry and I about Iggy. Please stop

I'm not trying to paint her into the angry black woman trope - I actually fight against that. But you can just be an angry person with your opinions. Let me get this straight - it's wrong to be critical of person if they're black, even if they're saying really offensive things? That's basically saying that blacks have a pass to say whatever they want without consequences. No way, we should all be held accountable for the things we say, no one should get a free pass. And you're not supposed to be reading the headlines (please tell me that's not all you did?) or any of the commentary - just read what Azealia said. The article is just to frame what she said.

You're living on another planet if you think Azealia isn't known for being a racist. Everyone knows this is the reason why her album got delayed and she got dropped and is struggling for relevance - because she was a PR disaster with all her tweets and you can't launch a successful album based on such bad press. Why else do you think Gaga no longer wanted to work with her for Red Flame?

Oh, I see. You only think it's racist if it's something offensive about blacks. Just as I thought. You seem focused on defending this one race above all others - I don't hear you talk about the racism Asians or Hispanics face (though Hispanic is more of an ethnicity) and you clearly think racism towards whites is impossible. Some anti racism crusader you are.

You are the one who's refusing to have a mature discussion. You are batting away stone cold evidence and laughing at your opponents. Sounds pretty immature to me. Like I said before, Iggy's "racist" tweets are nothing compared to the stuff Azealia has said. Iggy's (which can't even be proven to be true) were ignorant at best. But Azealia's is educated hate, which is far worse.

I wasn't really trying to divert it, just pointing out the irony of you being a fan of Azealia while being against racism. Seems pretty relevant to me. It's hard to take anything you say seriously when you're such a fan of her, you see. And you haven't proven me wrong at any point, just shown how afraid you are to discuss when there's a chance you might lose.

But no matter. I'm done with you. I'm not going to waste any more time arguing as you won't listen and just misinterpret everything anything. AyaKara is telling us to stay on topic, so I'd better leave.

I don't think she'd be taken more seriously, If I am honest, there is no Woman taken more seriously in the Buisness.

About Taylor, they make fun of her boyfriends, about Madonna, they make fun of her Age, and Gaga, Katy, Miley etc. also have 'reasons' why they get their hate.

I don't see anything that's constantly being used against Bey as an insult, maybe her being overrated, but really not anything personal or about her really (saying someone is 'being overrated' is a subjective opinion whereas Madonna being old and Taylor having many Boyfriends is true.).

I think if she'd be white, she would be a huge target for hate, since being white or 'the whites' became an insult, I mean just look at comments like 'White people are crazy', which is totally fine and funny but when it comes to 'black people are crazy' it gets an insult. I do understand black lives matter and I am 100% supporting the movement that's being made on social media, exposing the AMERICAN police, but we should treat each other with some sort of respect. Guess what, I don't have any white privilege, and not every white person does. You clearly see it in the music industry. Where people like Macklemore who released a great hip hop album can't win a grammy without getting 'being white was the reason they won' thrown on their head. Yet Beyonce, Kayne, Jay Z and all those artists clearly have more Grammys than Macklemore. This was kinda off topic at the end but whatevs, my opinion.

I see lots of Bey hate saying she's trashy, slutty/shaking her booty, not a good singer etc. I assume she gets this more because she's black. The Hyper-Sexualisation of Black woman makes it harder for them to do it than someone like Iggy who is applauded for being a White woman with a big ass or Miley shaking her butt is *edgy* or *s-xy* but for Bey and RIh its *trashy*. This is the media of course

Nah, the amount of respect and praise she gets annoys me. She's fine. Plus, she's a huge win for the black community. I do not want her to bc white, even tho her Clorox supplies say otherwise

To tell you the truth, I think Beyonce's position in the industry is very strong. Skin color has nothing to do with that, she works hard and is talented and that's all. We can compare many white singers with Beyoncé and there are only few who are taken as seriously as she is.

I've never heard anyone saying that Miley shaking her butt is s-xy, most of comments are like "OMG, she was such a sweetheart, what on earth has happened do her!?!" :P

Haha definitely! But I take your point and I see what you mean. However, I don't think it really affects the impact of black women have on the industry. Just look how Beyoncé influences the youth all around the world :) she is taken incredibly seriously. Some people may be tired or bored of her, because she is around for almost 2 decades, but it doesn't mean she isn't properly appreciated.

Btw, Beyoncé looks more like a south american hispanic woman rather than a black woman; she has a very distinct african nose tho.

Beyonce is literally placed on a pedestal everywhere. I don't see how being white would make her be taken more seriously when she's already one of the, if not the most, taken seriously artist now.
