Togekiss 2,519
I am surprised by how much I like the song every time I listen to it. I love the lyrics, but when I'm driving to work in the dark in the rainy Portland fall, I gravitate more toward upbeat stuff. I'm just rarely in the mood to listen to it. building a daydream
XoXoJoanneGaga 629
IWBWU was so much more personal and honest than Dope. IWBWU was about her struggle of wanting to be a pop star and make music and be there for her fans, yet wanting to be in love and have her life with Taylor at the same time. It was an honest song. She got the lyrics to Dope from a fan letter. She changed it at the last minute to please her label. Dope isnt as personal as everyones trying to act like it is.Source for her getting the lyrics from a fan? It wouldn't surprise me actually, since her songwriting was so weak during this era lol.But she clearly said that she changed it to Dope to stick it to the label, they wanted a pretty ballad so she gave them the opposite. judxs 762
I personally love dopethe only thing that annoys me is that she said ARTPOP was an album that could be 'played in a club entirely' and dope just really doesn't fit in with this so I'm really confused as to why she included it
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
The voice for most people I'd assume. Personally, from what I gather it seems like this song was very inspired, but then I hear about her still doing it and still smoking and it seems like "I need you more than Dope" was such a hollow line. It honestly went from cathartic to "meh", like she just wrote about something deep and then went back on it Like the song was so emotional and it seemed so honest, but it doesn't feel nearly as heartfelt in retrospect I wanna be with you seemed more honest. 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
homomo 23,883
Because it was a bigger chart-topper than Judas, Marry The Night, Do What U Want, and G.U.Y. and fans just can't deal with that. 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111

VforVendetta 2,024
But doesn't the song also make love sound a like d--g dependency? And not in a fun way like "Love Is the Drug" or "Addicted to Love" - but in a really needy and pathetic way. . Of course not, in the song the person has lost the one he/she love and now they realise that they live all their life under the influence of Dope, not feeling and not living. So they express how now they realise that what they really want and need, what really matters is their love, the person thay have lost and not Dope that was keeping them in the darkness.
