FGGrayson 9,670
Because most of her fans just like EDM about s-x and they can't deal with some real emotions delivered in this song. not really i listen lots of stuff, not just EDM, let's be real, her vocals are awful there 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗴𝗮 • 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗲 • 𝗦𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗲-𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗼𝗿 • 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻
JesseBabe 837
I don't think it has anything to do with me not being able to handle or "appreciate" the raw vocals, I just don't like the song. Lol I also think, personally, that Dope doesn't even fit in on the album. She said that it was a "party" album, yet she puts Dope a ballad about addiction on it, which doesn't make me want to party or have fun, it makes me want to be sad and call the party off. I just don't see how that goes into the theme she was going for.

Church 849
How about you all stop being pretentious, elitest, ignorant little b---hes? I don't like Dope. Does that mean I can't appreciate a stripped down highly emotional song? No. Me (and the other fans who don't like the song) not enjoying Dope doesn't equate to me not having emotional depth or intelligence lol. I don't like Dope. Her theatirical voice she put on and the delivery of the song cheapen it imp. I'd like if she had more natural vocals. Also, for everyone saying its her most personal song shes written....didn't she get the lyrics from a fan letter she recieved? kiss kiss

GloZell Green 11,723
Because our fan base apparently hates top 10 singles Anyways I love it, such a good song Lady Gaga | Shakira
Bad Bromance 5,809
It's literally one of my favorites. Slurring a song that's about d--gs and alcohol (or rather, the apology to everyone she hurt because of her dependence on d--gs and alcohol) was so clever. I also like how it ties into Applause. When the BTW Ball was cancelled Applause was born out of her need to be on stage and play her music, Dope was born out of the incapability to do so Exactly!! In the song, Gaga apologizes to Taylor for living high for so long and she literally sings that song as though she had him in front of her. It literally sounds like she's about to breakdown crying and that's what makes the song sound so powerful and heartfelt. To each their own, I guess. We all can't expect to like the same things anyway so it doesn't bother me if 99.9% of this fan base doesn't like Dope because as long as I like it, that's all that matters to me. I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.
hookerfreak 30
i don't like dope because it's incredibly basic, her over-theatrical vocals are off-putting and it's not needed on the album, simply put
GawdGa 1,399
for me, it didnt really fit in with the mood of ARTPOP. it sounds more like a BTW song i still love it and think its amazing but i definitely cant listen to it mixed in with other ARTPOP songs ☠
VforVendetta 2,024
Wonderful ballad, one of her best creations. "My heart would break without you, might not awake without you''. So powerful... And it's also a real problem of aour age, people choosing dope instead of love.
