Killa 17,464
Oh, boy the singing is disastrous. I'm very sad, this has been going on for a while now but she truly struggled in this performance. Her vocal chords must be doing well, it's just that there's so much tension in her singing and she does the strangest things to cope with her vocal disabilities that she created very bad habits. I hope she consults a vocal coach asap. And then she keeps dragging the tempo further and further. She really needs to let the sound vibrate freely or LG 5 will be over before it began. She leveled up, gained some credibility, now she better defend it. I think that talent it's what's going to make a difference for Gaga at this stage, make her a keeper.
Bad Bromance 5,809
You guys are at it again bashing her singing style and the furious mixed feelings she has when she sings emotional songs Have you not listened to the studio version of TIHTY? It's exactly like this or more "forced". She even said that she was CRYING when she ****ing recorded that song. That's how she wants to sing it, theatrically and painfully. This is not a sweet s-xy slow ballad Preach it, sis! First of all, I think we all have to remember this is an LQ video. Secondly, if she sounded so terrible, like half of this nitpicky fan base concluded, why would Lea Michelle say she was blown away by Gaga's vocal performance?? To kiss her a$$?? If so, why would Lea Michelle even want to do that?? Is it in her best interest to kiss up to her?? I don't think so! I thought Gaga's performance was very heartfelt, emotional and raw, just like the song dictates the vocals to be. My fiancé, who hadn't had a chance to listen to TIHTY until I showed him the video, thought it was an awesome performance and he's not even obsessed with Gaga like I am, so he wouldn't have a problem telling me otherwise! End of rant............ I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.
James Coopridge 73
She's an amazing vocalist. This was not her best performance, but she prob has not sung in months cause she's been shooting ahs.
Morphine Prince 105,862
Her voice was truly disastrous at parts. Not a good performance but it was bearable at least. I can sense how emotional the song is for her. Wish she would work on that voice though... the over the top "Dope" vocals sound really bad when done like THIS. Creyk 17,805
I listened to this performance like 15 times since yeseterday....it's so nice. I found a version on youtube that removed the clapping/crowd noises so that makes it an even better experience.

End of rant............ Preach it Gohan! Preach it Bad Bromance! Now it's my turn to rant Obviously the people who thought this performance was bad are the ones who hated the song... just because her vocals are not regular and stable like Taylor Swift's (not that I hate Taylor, it's just she's a good example in this context) doesn't mean those are bad vocals. In fact there'd be nothing special to the song/performance if she had just performed it with sweet and regular vocals like how everyone else is doing. It's how Til It Happens To You is sung and it's painful but beautiful. I'm glad Gaga never followed the opinions of others here. She has 6 Grammys and she knows what she's doing. Didymus 34,379
Obviously the people who thought this performance was bad are the ones who hated the song...Can you not present such absolute bs as "obvious" facts pls? I love the song and I have been defending her TIHTY studio vocals since day one on this forum. If you and the other recent "defenders" would have bothered to read this thread through you would've seen that (a) there was no bashing going on (as I successfully proved after which I was, predictably, ignored); (b) 100% of the "negative" people made a distinction between her singing style ànd her vocals being off key, weak, exhausted,... proving you false (c) there is no possible dispute about her vocals being subpar, as she went off key and couldn't hit high notes as she usually can during the entire night.Like I already said more than I can remember now: stop attacking or questioning the people who are simply pointing out an obvious fact you can't handle. No one in this thread (and I mean no one, I literally checked and went through all posts to find the worst post and it was perfectly fine and definitely not meant to bash Gaga in any possible way) is doing what you people are saying they're doing and the personal and arrogant comments about me and others here are really unfair and annoying.Like, god, just state your own opinion without having to negate the others of any worth. Like I already said, I think Gaga is well aware that her voice wasn't strong and would be the first to admit it, so what the **** is the big deal? Like I already said, I think Gaga is well aware that her voice wasn't strong and would be the first to admit it, so what the **** is the big deal? I never claimed anyone to be bashing Gaga, it was another member, I said "the people who thought the performance was bad". I understand that they weren't bashing Gaga so there was no need for addressing that? And the singing style Gaga adopted for Til It Happens To You actually resulted in their impression of Gaga's "weak, exhausted vocals" when they are not, instead of being interpreted as 'weak and exhausted' I thought it'd be fairer to view it as a technique, which I genuinely think it is. Wait did you mention off-key vocals? Pardon me but mind telling at which point did she go off-key? (You don't have to agree with me, it's just my personal opinion, you are entitled to yours) The only thing I can agree with you is that she didn't hit the high notes she hit in the studio version of the song, but the verses are just fine. In fact her last verse was excellent. I wasn't attacking or questioning anyone. Alright I made a general statement based on assumption, that was my fault, I apologize for that but I in no way attacked or insulted anybody. Just because they think it's a fact doesn't mean I have to agree with it. I will accept only facts I acknowledge and just because I am a Gaga fan doesn't mean I am delusional or unable to handle a "fact" every time I defend her. I am still entitled to defend her when it's the right time to do so, despite being her fan. I'm sorry my original post wasn't directed to you at all, I didn't read the entire thread, it's 11 pages long and I didn't even know you commented in this thread. I'm sorry if I indirectly supported anyone who insulted you for your opinion, I don't support that either.
Didymus 34,379
just because I am a Gaga fan doesn't mean I am delusional or unable to handle a "fact" every time I defend her. Well, it does in 90% of the times, apparently. If you can't figure out, based on the video's of the entire night (why the **** are you and other people always referring to the "technique" of TIHTY when she had vocal troubles all damn night ) that her voice was exhausted as **** then I don't even know what to say.. I guess it must be nice to be that oblivious.

I try to be as rational as I can and quite frankly I find beauty and reason behind most things she does and I'm not even forcing myself to do that, it just comes naturally to me. Well, you're entitled to your opinion, I'm not gonna dispute that.
Adelephant 288
I thought the performance was amazing. Her vocals were emotional and shaky, but still strong & hopeful. It was a perfect fit for the song.Personally, I enjoyed it much more than the studio version which felt less honest.
AndrewGr 6,022
I really hope she'll do another performance of TIHTY soon because this one didn't do justice to the song. I'm sure she knew her voice wasn't ok that night, she could've skipped it...
monstereo 1,232
Her 'dope' voice is TERRIBLE, I absolutely hate when she sings like this. It sounds so forced and blehh. I was looking forward to hearing TIHTY live, but this is so disappointing. She's shown she can sing with emotion without doing that voice.I don't care if its 'raw and emotional', it sounds horrible.
