The typical Katy Perry thread where she gets called out for her basicness and lack of creativity and originality whatsoever and rightfully so, and the same 2 people try to convince themselves of the opposite by replying to any negative thing written about her while skipping every part even them can't justify (ahem KATYPERRYPOP, like u srs :trollga:).

Being "creative and artistic" doesn't suit her imo. She should go back to being the cute, pretty pop girls who makes cute catchy songs 'cause that suits her much better.

Fashion chameleon Katy Perry... oooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Wait! Really?! Did I just miss something? :what:

OT, she obviously drag herself down which almost the same as saying that she didn't exert creativity and art on what she does in the past. :smh:

All I ever wanted was 🅻🅾🆅🅴

I dont get why people get so pressed at the fashion camaleon comment. While the pinup girl is her general schtick, Katy has indeed worn different styles

Fashion chameleon, just like me. One day I wear shorts the other pants. How creative and artistic.

Too many people here with moral superiority complex.

In 2010-2011 all the pop girls went thru their avant-garde/ over the top/ I'm weird cycle. It's safe to say that ARTPOP was disliked by the fans but it made an impact in pop culture and pop entertainers. Just look at DWUW.

I hope that Katy's artistic album won't be released.. a week before LG5.

I want to see Katy try an ARTPOP-ish album, and for it to flop, purely to see how she deals with it, and if she can deal with it.

Life ain't Hollywood for any one of us.

Of course she does. You can only get by on mediocrity for so long.

Unfortunately you don't "experiment" with being artistic and creative, you either are or aren't.  And she "arent".

You'd think that'd be something a musician experiments with from the beginning of their career. :awkney:

Before anyone thinks I'm just flaming Katy here, note that I loved her personality when she first came out, I bop to some of her songs, and think she puts on a fun show. But the idea that a musician would just now say they want to experiment with being creative and artistic is a little cringeworthy....My hope is just that she worded it wrong or something.

Regardless, I do think this is good. It shows she wants to go in that direction which I support anybody doing. I hope she does well.

She's in the same situation as Gaga though. Like I said here earlier, she already confessed two years ago that she doesn't have complete control over what she can do. She initially didn't wanna do PRISM because she wanted to move away from electronic dance-pop, but we all know how that turned out.

I just hope she's able to do what she wants now instead of hyping us for no reason (à la "dark", her scrapped album concept).

And what on earth are ppl complaining about fashion chameleont? Ofcourse she is. She changes her look very often. O.o I think her looks are just more relatable to teens etc.Fashion or trends doesnt mean chicken nugget costumes... (Nothing wrong with that type of style and costumes, love it about Gaga but that doesnt equal fashion).

What chicken nugget costume?

Are you saying Katy has better fashion sense than Gaga?

Gaga is the definition of fashion chameleon, both on stage and on the street, airports, wherever she is. She doesn't wear granny jumpers and stuff head into pillow to avoid paparazzi on airports like some others. :green:
