The Professor 1,060
I remember Troy saying she would sell 30 mill albums of BTW....... lol But dont get me wrong i like BTW more than TFM, I just feel like she didn't flesh the old persona out enough (and could have REALLY peaked). I always feel like BTW should have been her 4th album, she could have entered such a Candy Warhol golden era
ARTPOPdidntflop 3,987
No, it came around at the perfect time. It was just unfortunate about the Hip Gaga x Nicki x Azealia x Ariana x Kesha x Bey

mariomania1234 11,368
It's kind of remarkable how much she sonically evolved from The Fame ----> The Fame Monster-------> Born This Way.I think Born This Way cemented her as a pop genius IMO. Even more so than TFM.

TEANUS 15,770
I've always thought ARTPOP and Born This Way both would've went better had they been switched around. Applause would have sold more copies first week. ARTPOP would be known as a more forward thinking album because the electronic sound really didn't become popular until 2012. Bad Bromance 5,809
I think what the OP is trying to say is that it makes more sense if ARTPOP would have been released after TFM and Born This Way would be what we now know as LG5. Am I understanding you correctly, @The Professor? I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.
PartySick 162,954
I thought you were going to state the case of Red and Blue and The Fame Monster being albums which would, technically, make Born This Way her fourth album. I don't get what you mean though Like, ARTPOP in 2011 and Born This Way in 2013? I guess they would have done better on the charts but I get a feeling of continuation with Born This Way to ARTPOP knowing all that happened and such. I think they're perfect the way they are You're stinky
Thomas P 18,479
I always wondered this. I feel like born this way came at the right time, when gaga was on top of the world. It helped her become an activist and it did great, but I feel like ARTPOP needed the boost of gaga being top b---h to really hit home with everyone, because the weird thing with ARTPOP is that its both ahead and behind its time.idk I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill. Tokyo Rose 1,475
"Candy Warhol" after The Fame Monster? I think we all had enough of that theme. BTW is where she was at in her career. Recorded on the tour bus during The Monster Ball

Sorry No I mean like a fresh album that is nothing like what we have (but more like TF), released in 2011. Then BTW, then ARTPOP lol.

TimisaMonster 31,073
That doesn't make sense...Gaga made eht she felt and thought was important at THAT moment...She was thinking ARTPOP when making BTWThings happen for a reason Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! I don't think we would of had a 'fresh' album if things worked out that way because Gaga writes about the things she's going though at the time.
