What Gaga said about her perfumes

Her comment actually angered me a bit, I guess it's a business but I actually do feel lied to. I was lead to believe that she really wanted to do this, but the way she said it was what I didn't like. I was so excited for these perfumes and they smell good, but I guess behind closed doors it gets tricky. I don't hate her at all but that's just the business and like with anything they will say anything to make a buck and I think that's why gaga went at it with Troy and made the changes she did.  So I understand that.

I was quite sad when I watched that. I personally think she's stripping herself back in a way, dropping some of the 'gimmicks' so to speak, I think this may be Adele's affect on her, maybe she just wants her voice to sell her image and not "waste her time" on side projects. I don't know though that's just my opinion I do think LG5 will be very stripped back.

Yeah that's true Cheek to Cheek wass very raw and stripped back. It's exciting but also nerve racking to think which direction her next album will go and will she pull it off, I need new music lol

To me ,  her comments are promotional, to garner interest in up coming products, events, music ... ect. 

Her management may (what do we really know anyway) be behind her statements at times. 

If said products (ect) don't pan out, is her promotional comments considered a 'lie' ....

Did anyone buy said products and not receive ...???

Did anything but anticipation get damaged ... ???

I personally quit paying close attention to 'gonna' a long time ago, I mostly focus on 'dida' and 'doa' stuff....8-)

I feel the same way about that as I feel about the app: we can't trust her EVER when she's talking. I mean, in 2014 she couldn't stop describing the app as something that would change her career and open up a whole new experience for her fans etc. etc. and then she just dropped and ignored it and implied that it was just Troy's idea and she never gave a **** about it in the first place.

Like, seriously, this is no shade, but she can obviously fake excitement and passion about anything if her label/team/whoever wants her to. So I'm just not gonna believe anything she says in the present or future for my own sanity.

The alternative to her "lying" and "being fake" is that she is just a really changeable person with short-lived moods and enthusiasms. One year she's passionate about X, the next she over it and onto Y. People of her personality and mental health type tend to be that way more than consciously lying.

It still is an issue with trusting and believing in her. Has she found her permanent authentic self? Will she feel about her current passions in a couple years. like she does now about the perfume campaign?

I think she cared about Fame, and what she was referring too was Eau De Gaga.

I mean if you look at the Steven Klein x Gaga promo for Fame her management clearly were not the ones controlling that; If they wanted her to make a perfume for cash they would have made it safer 

 

Her quote was, "I really don't like selling these fragrances, perfumes."  She didn't say her last perfume.  So now she is disavowing all of it.   Of course, this is after getting all of her fans to buy it.  

Gaga does this a lot, changing the plot line.  Some is very believable to me.  Some of it is just the drama and onto her next mood and changing the plotline of her feelings regarding back years ago.  She's not any different than rock stars or other pop stars or actors.  They've all been all over the place emotionally during different phases of their career.  She was the one high making selfies for her fans and tweeting them.  Now it's like she's saying she was being forced to do it.  Come on.  That's eyeroll inducing.  She gets this high and mighty attitude sometimes and tries to rewrite things she now thinks she's above as being things she was forced to do. 

Artists are emotional and temperamental but never boring. Gaga is never boring.  Some of her stuff she is doing or saying is her evolving and  some of what she says is very self-reflective and fascinating.  Some of it is whining and playing the victim regarding back when or blaming.  Some of it I take it with a grain of salt, as it's how she feels today, maybe not six months from now.

The music industry is a tough business.  She's not wrong about that.

You know you did!

Considering I have 2 3-oz bottles, body lotion, shower gel, bar of soap of fame and only could find one 1 oz bottle of EDG, I can attest to this haha. But they smell so good and one of my coworkers actually got a sample of fame and loves it so it's sad how she didn't give the fragrances a chance.

As much as I love and respect Gaga, I agree with everything you said. I'm sure she's genuine about some of the stuff she says about her projects but at the same time we can't take everything she says seriously, I mean this is the woman that lied about the color of her prom dress. Gaga does love to exaggerate a lot of things she says too so whenever she describes something I just wait until it happens and then make a judgment. I think we all learned to just wait and expect the unexpected although she has been kinda predictable lately. 

She was also a crack addict - so her memory loss is her own fault.
