well yeah, didn't she say (ad actually done) hangout with her fans out of her apartment and order some food and talk, and I once, not sure whether it was one of her concerts or iTunes (2013) festival were she said something like 'enough of me, I wanna know you guys, I'm interested in you as you are in me, I want know your projects, dreams goals..', and no wonder monsters like Marc are close to her, and if you remember back at the BTWB she would bring fans with her after the show and they would sit on her bed and just talk about whatever. Pulse gaga consider us (her monster) the 'freaks' that understand her, a connection she doesn't have with the GP audience, so what's she said at the 'emotion revolution' wasn't directed (only) to her fans.

Well next time she comes to Paris, I'll do that and we'll see what happens.

In my mind I see it like this. Gaga gets on top of the foodchain with Troy as her right hand. Troy has had many ideas to make Gaga the first in this or that, technology used etc. I feel like this would be just another thing that Troy would tell Gaga "we gotta release a perfume now, you're on top of the world, every celeb does this, let's make it big".

Gaga seeing Troy not only as her manager but also friend (as she often said before she wants that kind of connection with the people she works with) agrees and they make indeed this huge campaign, maybe even sign a contract for a follow up already. Not that she's 100% on board but whatever, let's go, plenty of spliffs do wonder and it all passes. 

Later on **** hits the fan with her hip and how everything is dealt with after. Things go sour between her and Troy and they split. In her mind, this idea was not coming from her and did it to play according to the rules of the industry (remember rule book reference in SXSW speech?).

2015, she's back on her feet and decides that the **** she did for Fame was just not her cuppa tea, she's not that kind of artist and now speaks up about it. 

Yes the whole post is speculism and just something I thought about so it might be the polar opposite but in my mind this makes sense the most and I cannot held it against her. She did one campaign made it big and expensive as a maybe "give back" idea since she's "scamming" her fans into buying this and in a 360 deal she has to hand over an x percentage of everything she makes on that scent, money making machine statement covered right there as well.

What I just noticed is that if Gaga wouldn't have done the perfumes at all and stood by what she thought of it initially some of the people complaining here about it now would probably also complain about her not wanting to try new things, being stubborn and refusing to see the other side, arguing she could just stop doing it after one or two tries.

I always feel like there's a sense of entitlement whenever Gaga says she wants to do something/does something. It's kinda part of this weird thing called stan culture, but also plans falling through and not being legally allowed to talk about it is just as common.

I'm disappointed cause I thought she was actually genuinely enjoying meeting the fans and all, I got to see when she launched FAME in Paris and I always admired the way she signed so many autographs and all, but now that she said that, I'm disappointed in her cause I thought she didn't see us (the fans) as someone she disliked interacting with.

That's another thing I found quite strange about the interview. We want selfies with her because we're her fans. We're not going to have meaningful conversations with her in the few seconds we get to talk to her before she's ushered to a car by her bodyguard. I'd love to talk with her rather than just take a picture, but a lot of the time fans don't get that chance.

it felt like she was talking about her second perfume.. and tbh, I don't care. I've never been a fan of these celebrity perfumes at all. It's a topic that isn't very important to me. 

 

can you please enlighten me? what's with her prom dress? 

 

It's an unbelievably stupid thing some "fans" made a ruckus about (again). During an interview she once described the black dress she wore to prom and how beautiful she felt, and a fan dug up a picture of her posing with her friends in a turquoise dress before attending a prom party. They acted as if people NEVER go to several proms held during different years, as if they just attend one prom and could never be asked out as a date by a Senior when they're younger. There are Junior and Senior proms, some schools even have Freshman and Sophomore proms. She was likely talking about her "final" prom - the one that celebrated her last year of high school. Yet for some inexplicable reason some folks still insist - years later - that she was intentionally lying about her dress.

I feel the same way about that as I feel about the app: we can't trust her EVER when she's talking. I mean, in 2014 she couldn't stop describing the app as something that would change her career and open up a whole new experience for her fans etc. etc. and then she just dropped and ignored it and implied that it was just Troy's idea and she never gave a **** about it in the first place.

Like, seriously, this is no shade, but she can obviously fake excitement and passion about anything if her label/team/whoever wants her to. So I'm just not gonna believe anything she says in the present or future for my own sanity.

 I do not think she was talking about fans. She does not spend days taking selfies and shaking fans' hands, she does it outside the hotels and on the streets. She was probably talking about meetings and events where she has to meet people and now everyone wants selfies with everyone so that feels shallow to her because they don't really "stan" for her, they just wanna brag about how they're able to meet her. I recall that she mentioned how the new artists only want selfies with the bigger ones, and how that's not gonna get you anywhere.

I don't mind what Gaga said at all. Celebrity perfumes are pretty weak and cheap, in the end and they only sound like a good idea, in the beginning.

Gagz, if You meet me, I will not even ask you for a selfie. I do not own a phone and never have, so I will just want to stop you to say, Hello. How are You.

When did she say that?

She ignored the app countdown that was supposed to unlock new features, didn't react to this forum repeatedly melting down about it and I remember the mod team getting in contact with her team and telling us that she wasn't gonna pay attention to it or any other project that was/had been in the works (incl. Eau de Gaga) due to Troy's management decisions.

And later, I think, she also said in an interview that she hated how her label always wanted her to top her musical output with non-musical things that Gaga felt to be unnecessary because, after all, she's a musician and just wants to release music.

She didn't really. She stated that she had moved on from old management and the projects that were under that old management.
