What Gaga said about her perfumes

She is a saleswoman first and foremost... The hype/ect. she puts out about things in the works are designed to get people interested in whatever they are working on.

What here 'real' feelings are kinda don't matter really.

Did I say they matter? :giggle:

I agree perfectly with you, but if that's true, then my main conclusion is perfectly legitimate: never trust a word she says.

Maybe she just meant that she ended up not enjoying the overall process of promoting it and decided not to keep doing that. That doesn't mean she disliked meeting fans or that she hated the perfumes she released.

Maybe she just felt the overall experience wasn't something she wanted to go through again for whatever reason. I don't think we should take it personally or jump to conclusions.

It seems as though Gaga does this a lot and it's risking her sounding insincere. How is someone supposed to know when she's truthfully behind something and when she's just doing it for cash? Look at Born This Way and ARTPOP. We are lead to believe that she had no choice in the single selections that made both albums die out. Why didn't she step in during ARTPOP and say "You know what? You guys effed up a great thing with Born This Way. I'm going to take this one." Instead, she let the same things happen and released Do What You Want as the follow-up single. It was too late for G.U.Y. to slay. The general public is a fickle thing.

Artists signed with major labels do not "step in" and tell the label that they are going to handle the next era. That simply doesn't happen. Artists are under the guidance and direction of their label, no matter how big they are.

That's a bit too much.

Why :emma: Like I said in my original post, it's not in a negative spirit, but when we can't even know if she's really excited about something that could be her idea or couldn't and there's a 70% chance of it never even happening, why shouldn't that be correct?

Because I don't think she lied about being excited about the app and I think with the fragrances, she didn't want to do more than one.

And even if she was dishonest about two side projects, not related to music, it doesn't make me "not ever trusting the word she says".

I don't think she's a pathological liar.

People change, situations change.

That has nothing to do with being a pathological liar

Look babes, I don't think at all, she lies. She had planned several things with the ARTPOP; the app, the space performance, the film, etc., like that era was suppose to be something spectacular and entirely fresh, but everything collapsed when she had enough of Troy, her management. Promotion for the album plummeted, the app was completely eradicated, the space performance was a complete mystery, and the film was never brought up again... She HAD planned all these things, but because of the horrendous black-out effect (this was honestly one of the darkest times of her career) everything just... stopped. SHE would have loved to have given us these otherworldly experiences, typing up that she "doesn't interact with fans anymore" - or implying so - is utter rubbish.

I honestly think the perfume was just another scheme to make her a living "money-bag." Why she said what she said during the Emotional Revolution event, is also because I think it brings bad vibes, she wasn't genuinely happy then, and even though it looked like it, deep down she wasn't. Damn that management team trying to control her. Tisk, makes me really livid, honestly.

Anyway, sip the T. :kissga:

I don't think her black-out had any negative effect on her career. Proof is Applause (as a good pop song but nothing TOO UNIQUE has done quite good in charts), another example is Slaydele - Hello.

ARTPOP you could say it wasn't that great of an era, and the album wasn't that solid (emphasis on that). But that doesn't explain why the fragrance did so bad, and had barely any promo.

I think the timing for EAU DE GAGA was the worst, she was at the worst time of her career ever in 2014 (before the Jazz era).

I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time.

I think that Gaga has more power than you're letting on. I think that if she wanted to follow through with something artistic, they would let her. She just needs to stand up and say "Hey, this is what I want. This will be successful and I will promote the **** out of it because I believe in it". That was the magic behind The Fame. She believed in the music she was promoting and fought for it! It's what got her where she is, and I think that she's getting too comfortable in trusting her label and handlers that are trying to create a cash cow at the expense of her creativity and passion.
