Tropico 4,145
No and for those who are going to say yes, I have a question, too: would Gaga die for you too?Not just in relation to Gaga but if that is your logic with anyone, you're very selfish. Do you need someone to do something good for you to do something good for them? ♢ Social Justice Enthusiast ♢
Tropico 4,145
This thread has been done to death and always has the same replies "I'm #NotDelusional and #Sane hahaha. No." But I'll answer anyway. It really depends. The first time I read this thread I was totally okay with it because dying didn't seem like a big deal to me because we all die at some point, so why not die by saving the life of someone who has saved so many other lives. Now, being in a different mental state, I'd say no if it was a gruesome death or a painful one. I don't know if there's anyone I'd die a painful death for. Not even my family (sorry, I don't have the whole "Family is the best thing ever <3" mentality). But I would die a painless death for some people. Gaga being possibly one. I would like to know I helped someone in a very big way in my life and if that means dying for Gaga who has helped me in so many ways and many others like me is a pretty noble cause. But I guess I don't have a brain. :( ♢ Social Justice Enthusiast ♢
MEDONER 1,676
Let's face it, a life of one of us nobodies would probably be worth sacrificing for someone like her who has saved, is still saving and will save many people lives. But then again, since those who were apparently "saved" by her are probably the firsts that would let her die instead of them it's kind of hard to answer tbh

Truth 90
Not just in relation to Gaga but if that is your logic with anyone, you're very selfish. Do you need someone to do something good for you to do something good for them? I'd like you to explain me what is selfish about this? Most of people simply wouldn't like to sacrifice their lives for the person that doesn't even know they exist and wouldn't give two hoots about them and their death. It's an obvious thing to me. I'd rather call it selfish to die in such a case - don't you have any family who would suffer after you're gone? Is it fair to consciously bring them so much pain?Edit:And to answer your question - no, I'm usually very helpful and I do help even those who cannot pay me back. But sacrificing your life is not such a simple "being good to someone" it's rather the lack of common sense.

But sacrificing your life is not such a simple "being good to someone" it's rather the lack of common sense. Selfish was a rather harsh word to use but it's the only word which seemed appropriate to use in this context. And I figured you would use the "she doesn't even know me" arguement, hence why I said anyone. If your reasoning for not sacrificing yourself is simply because she or ANYONE wouldn't do the same is selfish. I understand where you're coming from with the family argument. That's a reasonable reason not to die for her. But just because she wouldn't do the same for you is selfish. And I'm pretty sure she'd give more than two hoots if you died specifically for her. I don't see how willing to pay "the ultimate price" for someone who you see as dear to you is a lack of common sense? You're willing to go to far extents for people you care about. Makes sense to me? ♢ Social Justice Enthusiast ♢
