Well, let's clarify something.

Adele has a general audience. She may have some fans, but gp recognizes Adele because of her beautiful voice. And that's the reason why she's selling so many albums and songs. Her reputation preceeds her.

Gaga, in opposite to that, has an specific audience. She's like the outsider in pop music, the girl who does an specific kind of music to an specific kind of audience. So that may earn her many sells, but not all from gp, which may not give her that massive appeal that Adele has. She's an amazing singer, but the world is just getting familiar with it. And her reputation is way different from Adele's. Her music is not for most of the people. 

So, we'll see.

Plus, I don't understand people saying we are not in TFM era anymore. To get this kind of exposure, she needs to have an era which is commercially even more successful than TFM(like 21 era), after that, gp will also need some time to get thirsty for Gaga material. Then, it can be possible to have this kind of exposure. 

Even when all these conditions are met, it is open to discussion considering Gaga is polarizing figure while Adele is a singer that is listened by every single type of people all over the world no matter what political ideology they believe in, what religion they are from etc...

This topic discussed EVERY time another big artist is high on the charts. Literally every time. 

Stop waiting for Gaga to "slay." It's so cliché of this fanbase to ask this question now after 4 ****ing years of asking it. 

And for the record, no. It's not going to happen. The Oscars and all of the awards in the world don't change the fact that Gaga's POP appeal is not as massive as it was between Alejandro and Born This Way. It's not negative. It's basically a fact. 

 

And for f's sake, she should drop the practice of 'release single, vid 2-3 months later' like I don't know who came up with that but stahp.

Even tho it seems difficult, it's not so unlikely for gaga to gain exposure anyway, she just needs to act clever. Jessie J got her spotlight back (at least for 5 minutes again) with the release of Bang Bang (of course thanks to ariana and nicki). Same happened with bieber, who would've thought he would have a #1 single this year after Journals (which flopped harder than ARTPOP) and all of the controversy surrounding him. 

She just needs something fresh, catchy, memorable + a short, aesthetically pleasant video, a Grammys/VMA's performance and some great promo.

I don't think so. Few artists will ever get attention like this. Gaga had a moment like this, now this is Adele's moment. Will Adele or Gaga have another one? It depends largely on their previous era, and I don't think Gaga will ever have another time like the TFM anomaly of an era...and that's fine with me! 

There is so much pressure with expectations like this, I really don't wish it for any artist, not more than once. I think it is better to find a comfortable and steady place in your career. I believe Gaga is in the process of doing that and she is in a confident, consistent and positive place...one where she is settled and happy. That's more important to me!
