And her songs are so much better than anything else that has been released in the last years. And this album looks like it will be as big. 2)We haven't had even 1 person like Adele in music history.And please don't even try to compare her to Alanis 3)Adele's impact is not on pop culture..It's on music Mariah carey and Whitney Houston and Celine dion all say hello... adele isn't the first nor the last great vocalist in music... gagas cultural impact transcended music. She's an Icon , she's the MJ of this generation and has an undisputed position in pop culture ... Period Look what happened with 'Til it happens to you' ..being a charity single, the song was praised everywhere on social media and your so called 'GP' was praising her to heavens .. it was shared by not only the fans but also all the leading publications and some influential people ( Oprah ) .. All this when she wasn't even featured in the video nor performed it even once for the sake of promo !!It's the song that matters and TIHTY was just that .. even though not everyone could or might have related to it, it was talked about and praised .. so, its the music that matters and not how Gaga is perceived by the people .. Her Oscar performance was headlined worldwide and praised too .. so yes, she can and eventually she WILL ........Paws Up ... I love Gaga and I would enjoy seeing her break every record out there, but it's just not realistic. Remember how people here were estimating 400k too 500k as ARTPOP's opening numbers? I think that she just needs to have the ambition that she had during The Fame/The Fame Monster/Born This Way, if she promotes the **** out of that single, if she applies the ''stop the drama, start the music'' philosophy, she can be huge again. Applause was a succesful single and her reputation was not too good during that time, so imagine what she can achieve now that she has a very good image. She's a boss.
