What if LG5 is a severe commercial failure?

She would probably stop making pop music for good.

That's the one disappointing thing about Gaga post Born This Way for me. It seems like her love of pop music is slowly disappearing. It's sad.

I won't judge her based on charts or sales. The music is where it's at. But I'd be worried about Gaga. :saladga:

This. I genuinely love all of her albums including Cheek to Cheek, I think each is so unique and well crafted, my favorite one being ARTPOP, I connect to it most deeply and spiritually., maybe it's just that as I grew up I become more mature and connect to her music on a deeper level than I did before. But seriously tho, if she keeps delivering commercially underperformed albums I'd be pretty concerned about her, commercial performance DOES NOT determine everything but it does affect how singles/tours/awards are allocated in the future. Not to mention Gaga gets affected quite easily by public reaction so if she flops again she'll need undoubtedly feel very sad about it, I think it comes from her demanding nature, she's a perfectionist and she demands the best out of everything.

But considering Cheek to Cheek a JAZZ album, debuted at #1 on Billboard 200, sold 1 million copies worldwide, I doubt LG5 will do badly, considering she promised us sufficient promotion for her future albums a year ago in an interview. She's in a position better than ever now and she didn't even release an album this year, her performances and occasional endeavors have garnered her tons of awards and publicity so I don't expect LG5 to underperform.

Don't use the "music not the bling" bull****.

Commercial success will make Gaga's longevity and legacy.

Commercial success means more money for performances, outfits, promotion and not to mention public appearances.

In my messy era.

I wouldn't care as long as the music is good :hunty: We would also get rid of the remaining "fakes" too. As long as we still have our good ol Gags happy.

I actually agree with all of those things (Though I want quality first), but you didn't answer the question. How would you feel or react if LG5 was commercial failure?

What would happen? Life would go on, for Gaga and for fans.

Gaga would still have millions and dollars, so she wouldn't have to worry...and since she is talented and interested in so many areas, she could do other projects. As fans, we would still have a great album and more to look forward to in the future!

I wouldn't care that that much as long as we still got promo performances, interview, singles WITH videos (cough cough ARTPOP) and a tour I get to attend (it be my first gaga show)

As long as the music is good, I wouldn't care. By the way, if her next album underperforms, I hope she quits Pop for good and starts to make alternative music.

I'll look forward to her acting career and never listen to any sound ever again.

I didn't even realize she was a singer (?!) Just here for her acting tbh

I would be sad for Gaga, but personally I don't care as long as I LIKE IT. I would be sad if it mean't much less material from her. However, you pretty much choose to disappear once you're as big as she is. Even with terrible commercial success, she will still have a huge following and many sites to post new music.... for those of us still waiting to listen.
