"Hello" is legit amazing. I believe it's better than anything she put out before.

For once, I agree with the Adele hype.

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.

Not when Someone Like You exists, it's amazing but singles from 21 >>> from now on.

Sorry Drake and One Direction: 5 Reasons Why Adele's '25' Will Be 2015's Top Seller

For the music industry, any year that Taylor Swift doesn’t deliver a new album is cause for sorrow. While her 2014 album, 1989 is the gift that keeps on giving — it has sold more than 1.63 million copies in 2015, making it the top selling album of the year so far — there has yet to be an album released in 2015 that has blown the doors off retail. Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is the best selling album released so far this year, with sales of around 1.1 million, according to Nielsen Music.

That’s all about to change. Adele’s 25 is set to take the lead away from Drake to become the best seller of 2015 in only five weeks. Here are five reasons why:

1. Antici…pation: In a world where it seems like many artists don’t go away for long enough for us to miss them, Adele stepped out of the spotlight for what amounts to a lifetime in pop music: Her last set, 21, came out almost 5 years ago and the Grammy-winning album was the top U.S. seller for both 2011 and 2012. It has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. “Hello,” the first single from25, soared to No. 1 on iTunes Songs chart as soon as it was available for purchase at midnight and 25 is at the top of iTunes Top Albums chart based on pre-orders alone.

2. Wide demographic appeal: Who doesn’t like Adele? She may not appeal to the One Direction or 5 Seconds of Summer’s younger fans and her audience skews more female than male, but she beloved by high schoolers and AARP card carriers (who still buy music way more than many would believe) and all ages inbetween, as well as pretty much anyone who’s ever gone through heartache…or in the case of “Hello,” caused one.

3. Great quality: It takes only one listen to “Hello” to realize there is no one on pop radio today who sounds like Adele. To be sure, there are some strong singers, but they don’t combine her ability with the soul and emotion. She’s an old soul…she’s only 26, but she brings a gravitas and weariness to her voice on “Hello” that sounds like it’s coming from someone twice her age. You can’t manufacture or autotune that.

4. Albums vs.tracks: We are living in a world increasingly tilted toward streaming rather than owning and toward individual digital downloads rather than album buying, but there are still a few artists whose fans want to consume their whole output at one time instead of cherrypicking. Adele is such an artist. Her fans are going to want to own and devour 25 as soon as it comes out instead of only purchasing single tracks as they role out as singles. That means higher initial album sales.

5. The competition: Adele has some very stiff competition in November, primarily from her fellow Brits, One Direction. They will release their pre-hiatus album, Made In the A.M., on Nov. 13, and it undoubtedly come in at No. 1. But Adele will likely knock them out of the top spot and, with a few exceptions for a Beyonce release or some other surprise, likely hold onto the top spot through the end of the year and into January. Four, 1D’s last album, sold 372,000 in its first week of release in the U.S., topping first week sales of 21 by 20,000, but the fervor for Adele’s return will likely propel her to much greater numbers her first week out.

I know my opinion is unpopular because 21 is a sacred cow, but I stand by it.

she literally can't do anything else but sing the same boring melodramatic tunes. She has 0 range and 0 actual motivation to do anything but the same nonsense we got already.

jealousy would be a multi-faceted artist who can do more than whine and cry like the boring hurt lower she is.

you know, that rambling only told how uneducated and depth you really are when in comes to music. Her diversity and range as an artist is just too sophisticated for you to understand. Or her vast emotional range is just too big for your hateful heart to embrace.

lmao, nice try.

This "2deep4u" argument is sad, and I expected better, but I applaud the troll attempt.

Come back when you got something substantial to argue, or go back to appreciating basics.

when you sell millions of albums singing the same heart break ballads, I guess you get too lazy change.

at least Alanis could do other things than whine.
