To be honest, for me, I think the song is just okay. Like, her vocals are amazing, but it's kinda meeh. And the music video was a bit boring. Errrybody's making a huge deal out of it because it's Adele, but if another person had released it nobody would care that much imo

I think 21 is ok, nearing towards better than average, but not quite. I just don't see why so many people went crazy over it because it's so middle of the road to me, for the most part, and her voice gets to me considerably. If every track was up to the standard that Rolling In The Deep and Someone Like You were, I'd get the love, but as it is, they acted like bookends for an ok album, at least to me. I looked up low star reviews on amazon and found a lot of people saying exactly the same thing.

I see your point tbh. People seem to treat her as a unique goddess, someone who DARED to make acoustic soul-pop music when synthpop and EDM were popular. However, there was never any shortage of competent singers who make acoustic/soul music. It just so happened that Adele was blessed with exposure and the success that came with it.

I enjoy 21, but I don't find it as extraordinary as the media makes it out to be.

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
