Hello is really good and it's been stuck in my head all day. I don't love it enough to buy it, but it's a great song and whether you like her or not it's so exciting to see an artist still manage to drum up this amount of hype and excitement in 2015 when people outside of the internet don't really care about artists or even albums, just singles. Number 10 is at 4.5% and sold 10k. So with those figures for iTunes, the massive spins at all radio stations, Spotify, Vevo, YouTube and Facebook she's really, really slaying. Sales are massive and it's been hours, not even a day. It's currently only estimated (!) at 185k + sales in the first 9 hours for just the US and UK alone. It's expected to be way, way bigger than that so that's f*cking massive sales. Unheard of these days.At this point in the VEVO release of Bad Blood Taylor was at 2.4 million and Adele is way over that with 6+ million. It's uncertain to say cause VEVO/YT might be quicker with Adele's numbers but official confirmation is expected in 2-3 days but it's safe to say she's definitely in the running for the record and her legal downloads are abnormally huge. She's ticked every single box, the domination has started. Hello is #1 everywhere, sales for the single are huge, pre-orders for the album are so big iTunes has been glitching all day, the video is probably breaking a record and she's literally been breaking the internet today. There's no denying it, she's the #1 artist. One for the history books. And all of that while remaining a low profile in today's tabloid world. What a woman, what a career. Slayed. Still stand by the Lionel Richie inspiration at the beginning but the rest is good. The chorus is very uplifting and I like how long it is. I wonder if it's talking about the guy who she wrote 21 about? Because I always dislike break-up albums due to how it demonises the other person, we never get to hear their side of the story and this album's going to follow them for the rest of their lives (potentially causing depression and hanging over every bad thing that ever happens to them in life). And I think that's mean. So, maybe she's realising this and that this potentially caused her ex more heartache than he caused her. I mean, I don't know how I'd handle myself if someone made a 28 million selling album based on what a bad person I was. Adele fans may find this all harsh, but I think it's just being fair. If it really is her apology to him, well, good on her for realising the impact this will have made on him.You know, it might be the case that this album is better than 21 but will end up, inevitably, selling less. I've seen this happen a lot to superior follow-ups. It's a sad law of nature in the music world.she literally can't do anything else but sing the same boring melodramatic tunes.
