"Unfinished business"

SPOILERS FROM THE SECOND AND THIRD EPISODE PROBABLY

I couldn't help but notice something in the last episode. Sally asked Iris if she had unfinished business in the Hotel cause she didn't want her to become a ghost. I guess it explains why the hundreds of people killed by Mr. March and The Countess did not become ghosts but Sally and Mrs Evers (and now Naomi Campbell's character too for some reason) did.

But did such rule exist in Murder House? Some people, like that Black Dahlia-inspired character or the twins from the pilot, didn't have any unfinished business in the Murder House but they became ghosts. Like, why?  I thought you would simple had to die in a place with too much death and suffering to become a ghost.

Maybe they're seeking for revenge? Like Sally wanted to kill Iris so bad.

And I think sounds more "realistic" to me, because religious people tend to think that way, if there are ghosts in this certain place, it's because "they still have some business to do" :saw:

FATCAT

I'm not 100% sure of this, but my guess would be that it took a good many deaths before any "hauntings" started to appear. Also, there is a whole floor that's supposed to be "empty" so it's possible that everyone who dies there is trapped, we just haven't seen them yet. Another theory is that the penthouse and the basement are immune to the "die here, stay here" bit. Since a majority of the people killed were by the countess (in the penthouse) and throw down the chute (by the owner), it's possible the curse only affects some floors. It's a lot of craziness, so I guess we'll find out later in the season.

Isn't it Evers and not Evans?
