i miss the days where artists just, well, released an album. 

No pre-order codes, no deluxe editions with 2 extra tracks, no limited edition lithograph prints, no free house and car with every purchase. 

It is only going to happen in the early 90s and the decades before that because people can still appreciate the artists and purchase their albums.

But bonus tracks thing have started since mid 90s, where each country have exclusive tracks, for example NSYNC album, No Strings Attached have exclusive tracks for Japan, UK, Australia and Spanish version.

It is just mean of marketing so people will still buying their albums and I don't blame them for that since around that time, P2P were a thing and rampant thanks to Napster, Kazaa, Lemonwire and so on which contributes to many people mindset today that people shouldn't buy music when it is readily available for free on internet.

Something have to be done to keep the business going, don't you agree?
