Gaga gonna bring back rock?

Radio Ga Ga

I'm gonna try to keep this brief, 'cause I don't have much time...

We all know Gaga brought back EDM (at least she was a "pioneer")  in 2008-2009, and the trend lasted for half a decade, until it retrograded back to RnB/hip hop music the past year. Bringing back dance music in 2008 worked because at that time her songs were able to stand out on radio, and it was a time when the radio really needed something fresh and a break from the RnB/hip hop kinda stuff.

So... Do you think Gaga can/will bring back rock in 2016 like she did with EDM in 2008?

I say there's a good possibility:

-Rock hasn't been dominant in pop music for a really really long time

 -EDM is out of season

-There's already a lot of RnB/hip hop on radio currently, so she can't stand out this way

And even if she won't start a trend like she did in the past, she could still use rock influences to make her music stand out on radio and get more attention

Speculation:

Single 1: Rock oriented semi-EDM track (a little experimental but not too edgy to scare people away)

Single 2: Dinner (feat. Adele), or whatever the Adele collab is

Single 3: Soft Rock Song (Gotta be good though)

Single 4: Some song featuring a rapper (sorta like E.T., Bad Blood, Dark Horse kinda thing that drives long eras forward)

Single 5: Power Ballad

And the songs really gotta be super catchy like the ones on TF/TFM!! I'm talking about Bad Romance/Poker Face level catchiness.

Not necessarily a full rock album, it could be just rock influenced tracks, the main vibe could still be EDM

And I don't know, the last rock radio hit was Call Me When You're Sober by Evanescence. After that, we had a lot of rock songs, but none of them got to get into the #1 spot.

Take Me To Church was one of the few hit rocks from this decade, it's difficult to say what would happen.

I think she is going to take the current 'funk' trend and steer it towards disco :flutter:

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

I liked the idea after I read the title of your thread. However I think she can do a rock album later in her career. I need another pop album while shes young. But I really want her to do a rock album.

I'm so desperate and hella thirsty, I will take anything I can get from Gaga when it comes to new music. "I Want Your Love" didn't sit with me right at first, but now I bop to it. Unfortunately, we probably won't get a full on rock album from Gaga anytime soon (which sucks) for many obvious reasons. (Her fans will butcher her, I've heard so many "If Gaga makes rock music, I'll leave the fandom" bull****, the GP(?) wants an authentic Gaga pop album, or so I hear :rip:")

Idk. It's risky af, but if I were her and her heart was in it, and she had the right producers, I'd just do it. She has the voice, I think. And with the right training, I think she could have a really kick ass scream. For example, her screaming at the artRAVE I thought was pretty badass. :flutter:

A hard rock album has to happen. But maybe harder and heavier, please!

i think a lot people get her wrong when she say something about her influences.

edge of gloy was described by herself as stadium rock. and yes, there is something about this. but in the end its a pop-dance track.

i´m really sure lg5 will be less electronic and more organic.
