She studied how artists lost their fame. How did they lost her it factor. And in my opinion, is the fact of listening and trying to please the press what destroyed some artists. Was, for example, Michael the biggest star when he released Invincible? No, because the media had already destroyed him. He still had millions of fans, but the media had destroyed his public image. I don't know if it's entirely a good thing to totally shut herself off from the media. As a pop star, If the people stop talking about you, you're dead. So this quote leads me to believe that we are not getting a new album in 2012. At all. I think she should ease up, take a few months off and grant a few interviews to promote the tour through the rest of the year. I really want her legacy to continue. I want her to not be forgotten about. Plus I already miss the heck out of her. EDIT: This also explains why Perez Hilton has so suddenly stopped talking about her. He had to have been asked.
