Haroon 49,685
Sure why not There's nothing wrong with party songs, they're a blast And yeah even with stuff like that she'd add her own flavour or twist anyway so it'd be great
swordstalker 1,829
I'm going to assume that by simple you mean fun, catchy and danceable, but melodically or sonically uninteresting. I wouldn't mind that as one of the singles, but as a lead single, I would prefer something definitely within the dance-pop realm, but with interesting instrument arrangement, unique song structure and with the signature Gaga quirks, earworms and lyrics. After all, I feel like the GP (critics, at least) expect this to be her renaissance within the pop realm, so I hope she comes out with something new, fresh and thought provoking. And I know she can. Bear 7,515
I'd prefer something complex I mean it can still be a party anthem, but make it something groundbreaking and timeless. I'd love for her to make some dance disco music that relied solely on real instruments and raw powerful vocals (a.k.a IWYL style) because I really like that type of production right now
Whispering 18,865
I think JD reflects Gaga at a certain time in her life. I don't even think she would want to write a song like that anymore and it might not even be possible. Themes and lyrics usually evolve with the songwriter. Plus, these songs have really had their time.
Bloody Matt 5,357
As long as it sounds fresh why not. Even though, if I have to be honest, I'd prefer a song about painful love a la Bad Romance/Alejandro.I want something reletable this time. That's all. She can sing about partying, love etc but I want to relate to it.
Dayman 6,179
That's fine. Disco tends to shy away from politics and statements on society anyway.

Alfonso 1,550
NOOOOOOOOOOOO, I want Gaga on her most powerful songwritting skills + RedOne's magical instrumentals If it gets an interesting video that doesn't just show people partying then yea, why not. I think she should be on the safe side this time around, but for the lead single she needs something like Bad Romance. She pretty much admitted she'll be making songs like Just Dance & Bad Romance on LG5 anyway. As long as it sounds fresh and inventive. I'll be completely honest, I want Gaga to put out some powerful emotional music, but I don't want the era to get kicked off being too serious. We have not had a real club banger from Lady Gaga since Applause, and that was over two years ago. She practically has been doing covers and ballads for 18 months now. If Gaga can create a dance hit that sounds fresh and original, then yes, it would be better to go this route than **** out some boring "Dope" sounding song that feels too waddled down in it's aesthetic and leaves the rest of the album not even charting. I'm sorry if I offended people who like "Dope", but nothing about Dope is really that fresh or inventive, it isn't really that personal (it feels like someone creating a depressed character, not coming from personal experiences), and it just sounds gray and lackluster. Not to mention the vocals are rather forced and unemotional. If we could get a Just Dance with thumping basslines and maybe some disco or rock in there, then yes, give me another Just Dance. You can put out a ballad as the third single. I wouldn't mind a Just Dance 2.0 but I'm a stan for Gaga because of her meaningful and deep music So sure, why not? as long as it's not an album full of Just Dance's I'll be here for it all of this

djBuffoon 12,123
A party anthem? No thank you. That was Gaga's first major success, but that was years ago and she's grown considerably since then
asfittingasmcqueen 2,007
I can honestly see that happening, but not as lead single. I think it should be something like 1. Complex, fun but memorable song (like born this way, DWUW or alejandro. Something fresh that doesn't follow any trends like trumpets a la problem/talk dirty/worth it)2. Catchy yet interesting song (kinda like the party anthem you're talking about, just dance, poker face, telephone come to my mind. A unique banger)*promo single* (a song with a deep message, that helps the transition between singles, like hair, for example. Studio version fits judas and piano version fits TEOG)3. Power ballad (if adele happens to be on lg5)4. Complex memorable song again (like marry the night or DITD)
