As of today, this prediction has increased to 100-110k copies including streams, giving Selena the best first week numbers of her career as well as her second consecutive #1 ablum. All hail selegend! Anyway, I think these numbers are great for an artist of her caliber. I respect that she has let the music do more of the talking, rather shove the record down consumers throats. That may be what compelled so many to buy it. Her promo isn't as strong as Stars Dance promo with many big Come and Get It performances and countless interviews explaining the album I guess in her case this was beneficial as she's promoting moderately and not over hyping or talking much about this album all she says that this album is her speaking for herself so people are eager to hear what she has to say and lyrically Revival is one of the best pop albums but my concern is it lacks the edge that will provide it longitivtiy i feel she's done everything already with this album unlike a pop album like 1989. We might get one more single (SOBER PLEASE!!!) and then the album might die out just like all her previous efforts i don't know why this is and i hope i'm wrong. Stef 61,598 Posted October 13, 2015 Author Share Posted October 13, 2015 Same Old Love is holding firm in the top 10 and therefore Revival could be her first album to hold two top 10 hits, also GFY is her highest charting single, GFY also housed her biggest debut sales of her career with around 180k, Revival is definitely shaping up to be her most successful era. Streams boosting her isnt necessarily a bad thing either considering that is where the industry is headed.
