Bad Bromance 5,809 Posted October 14, 2015 Share Posted October 14, 2015 I was addicted to Poker Face when I first heard it and then bought her CD shortly after, I was pretty much obsessed after the VMA 2009/Bad Romance time I see you became obsessed with her after the 2009 VMA performance just like a lot of the members here did. Alien Tulip 12,428 Posted October 14, 2015 Share Posted October 14, 2015 In Summer 2008 i was obsessed with Just Dance but I didn't know much about her until I added her on Myspace in October 2008 and then I saw that people had Poker Face as their profile song on their myspace page and the music video had come out and I was blown the FÜCK away! I watched it like 100 times and I was like damn this girl has SWAG! (it was 2008 thats how everyone on myspace talked) and then I downloaded her album The Fame on limewire the next day and became obsessed. I googled her whole life and was so fascinated shes from the same neighborhood as me. Fall 2008 was the day I sold my soul to Gaga. Then around November or December 2008 I bought The Fame cd because I felt bad downloading her album for free. I felt so weird being obsessed with a new artist that just came out with a debut album but her style was so amazing to me and I let a few of my friends borrow my copy of the fame cd so they can transfer the songs to their ipods. In Early 2009 thats when shït got serious and I followed her so closely by following her on twitter and watching every performance on youtube and looking at candids. Poker Face American Idol April 2009 was ther first gaga performance I watched on tv as a stan and I was going crazy lol then eventually joined Gagadaily Summer 2009 (old account) and now I'm here 7 years later :P Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Truly the greatest years to be a gaga fanI agree. I still love Gaga to death but 2008 and 2009 were the most fun times to be a gaga fan. That's like saying Britney didnt have true fans until 2000. Britney already developed a strong fan base when her debut album came out in 1999. Just Dance was one of the most played radio songs in 2008 and her myspace page was promoted back and forth. She already grew a fan base when the album came out in Canada August 2008. I and other 2008 fans became interested and obsessed with her because of her image and the music was fresh and epic plus the just dance and poker face videos were amazing. I did like LoveGame and I did love Paparazzi but they weren't enough. And then Bad Romance happened. And I fell in love with it and TFM (except for Monster) and I've been a fan since then.
