If the law says that a car should only emit x amount of CO2 per km or less, it will force car companies to be innovative to make more efficient cars (or other fraudulent ways...). Regulations are generally meant to protect the general welfare of 'all' the people. But some corrupted legislators back detrimental regulations for economic reasons. Like oil companies own a lot of senators who would vote against or try to impose damaging regulations. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still.
