I said something along the same lines on this thread

and how TFM was a dark album with an uplifting approach , it was Gaga facing her monsters instead of running away from them, it was Gaga showing her bravery over her fears and that's what she means is showing the side of her that is perfect the side that does not give in where as on Dope and some other tracks we see the aftermath of Gaga's choices in life that seem to haunt her and she admits that they got to her. I guess it's true to an extent some fans become depressed if Gaga is it's the infectious nature of music like i said. So i think Gaga is insinuating that she is gonna remain brave and positive for the next record for us and her loved one's, as we all believe in her and she knows that.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense, but in Dope isnt she kind of tackling her addition?

It's science, bitch

Erm.. Am I the only one getting it as what she is saying is that people want perfection but she has learned with AHS that imperfection is beautiful?

So, bassically she is saying that she is goint to keep doing things like she wants even if they are not perfect pop because imperfection is also beautiful?

Well, anyway, if I am wrong or I missunderstood it.. that's what you get if you are always complaining about her not being GP/radio/charts friendly enough with her music and lyrics... and askung for 2010Ga to come back.

Great point! I think a lot of people here is overthinking after all

Wasn't TFM made from some pain and anguish? It would be kinda upsetting and worrying if she feels like she can't put certain things into her music because of what people want from her. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not into Dope but I wouldn't want to stand in the way of Gaga putting 15 Dopes onto her next album - it's her album so it's her choice

That's what I thought.

Also, kinda ironic and frustrating how once again she says "Well, with this project I can really do what I wanted to do" and talks bad about the/a previous project. You've already gone there, Gaga :s

Dope and Swine were pretty terrible. People wouldn't mind her more vulnerable and dark side if she actually made good songs like Speechless, Brown Eyes, The Edge Of Glory (which is dark but also joyous) etc however Gaga needs to realize there's nothing wrong with making happy music. She doesn't need to release a full album of raw songs for people to take her seriously. It can be a mix of raw but also fun dance songs while having a consistent theme and the fame monster did that perfectly. Not saying she should do a the fame monster 2.0 but she can try something new without making a full depressing dark album or a full album full of club bangers.

No matter which way she goes, she is going to disappoint a group of people on this forum. Those fans will live. Your world will not end if a pop star fails to put out some kind of music that you were hoping for! Lol

True. I feel like some people here just want to be disappointed. They're seeing everything under such a negative light that literally everything she does would be a diappointment from her.

Plus, we are a lot of people so if (for example) she starts dressing super crazy again half fanbase would be like "YASSSS crazyga is back" and the other half "I prefer when she's pretty and well dressed"

After reading it again, I totally get what she means. People expect a certain side of Vava and then they get "bored" or "dissapoitned" when she keeps it all the way real. The 'Dope' reference just kind of threw me but I get what she's saying.

I'm not getting how some of you think she's gonna become all commercial and doing things only for selling. TFM had a dark theme with some painful songs, but not super painful (Speechless was kind of a sad song though) like Dope, which for me seems (don't get me wrong, I like it) a little too depressing. So I don't see why some of you think she can't deliver a dark era with songs that aren't super depressing.

Speak for yourself :awkney:

Not everybody is here for a rich, priviliged woman wailing about how sad her life is.

This and honestly , Gaga makiong an album full of Dopes would be even more of a sellout than her putting out an album full of just dances. It will make Gaga look like "Oh yeah I'm going to put out an album full of depressing crap just to look different and get a new audience". A balance between happy and darkness would be perfect for her since thats how shes feeling right now.

I agree. Princess Die is one of her saddest songs but most fans love it.

Dope is just a really really bad song. I don't know what she was thinking with that vocal delivery....

What you mean to say is: "I THINK Dope and Swine were pretty terrible".

Plenty of people enjoy those songs and think they're incredible. Just because you don't enjoy them doesn't mean Gaga did something wrong in the way she created them. That's an important distinction to make - the fact that you don't enjoy them is not to blame on Gaga or the songs themselves.

Yes. That's why I didn't get why she chose. 'Dope' as an example. She has plenty of dark themed songs like Monster, Bloody Mary, Government Hooker, Speechless, TEOG, Brown Eyes, etc. I get what she's saying but Dope is far from the first personal song she's made.

I don't need to put "I think" for people to know its my opinion and if they dont then thats their problem and not mines
