So many references to Gaga's career in AHS! [PICS]

The only two references I'm getting from the first episodes are as follow:

1. Blood bath after the foursons = Bad Romance ending with the burned bed and the skeleton

2. Her look in the 1994 flashback = same hairstyle as a part of TFM era.

Ido think Gaga's career is filled with symbolism, but i don't think any of this was on purpose. Her outfits during the C2C tour reflected the era of the music she was performing, just like her old hollywood outfits in AHS reflect the era of the hotel she lives in. I have no idea about the white room though tbh, that threw me off when I saw it haha. I'm sure it will be explained further as the show progresses.

Why are we trying to discourage interpretations and a--lysis? Thank God for users like the OP who actually have the mental capability to draw such connections and a--lyze her work rather than the type who scream "This concept doesn't make sense at all!!!!1!!" Without any thought.

I think your interpretations are pretty cool! I would've never thought about the ARTPOP one but I see where you're coming from. :applause:

Not trolling at all... Just obsessed with finding the symbolic meaning in Gaga's work and sharing it with others. Sometimes it's a stretch, sometimes it's exactly what she was hoping we would see. I knew this thread would attract negativity, but it does not deter me from posting it anyway, because the pursuit of artistic exploration is more important than worrying about what anyone will think. Which is how Gaga would want it. :)

AHS isn't Gaga's work, friend. I'm not even sure the first episode was written with her in mind (though I don't know how far Ryan was into the creation when Gaga called him up). I like the way you think but I don't think there'll be any actual references to Gaga's career in AHS. It's just not important to the show. Especially since Ryan wanted the audience to see her as "The Countess" not as Gaga playing a part  so anything he can do to distance the Countess from Gaga, he'll probably do.

Gaga is a hired actress. She has NO say in the writing of the script or set decoration. FX has a staff of over 200 working on AHS. She DOES have some say in her wardrobe and hair, and she has contracted her own people for hair and makeup. SFX makeup is a totally different team. This happens often in productions with bigger stars. Cher also always brings her own team to film sets.

The show runners are the ones who write and produce the episodes, and there are usually 5-6 show runners. Ryan has final say over the scripts, but Gaga really has no input into this stuff. She may suggest costumes ideas and bring in some of her own pieces, but at the end of the day it is the production staff who handles this, so I don't think referencing her old eras is a priority for her or them. :bye2:

Actually the only thing that made me think of Gaga's career outside of the show was her makeup in the last scene with her, Donovan, and Iris. Those brows and that hair gave me some TFM era teas.

I believe the better explanation to this is that , Lady Gaga's imagery "perfectly fits" to AHS' that we actually see this as a subtle tribute to her.

We have to take in to account that Ryan along with the pool of writers, create this character in her persona so I'm not surprised that we see this kind of things.

Anyway, thank you for posting this. You just continued a very important tradition of GGD.

Some of them want to abuse you, some of them want be abused.

There was a pixel in one part of the show that was almost nearly identical to the direct contrasting color of the 34rd pixel on the y axis of the Marry The Night video three minutes and forty-three seconds in, fifth column to the left and on the third row. Also, in that scene, there was a bed, and that is symbolism for sleeping, and you know who else sleeps? Everyone on the cast of AHS.
