DrewStevens 5,249
Honey, using my avi as an argument to prove me a hypocrite is silly. I'm sure you're well aware that I'm using the avi for the woman herself, not the blood on her chest, but of course you wouldn't let the chance of having an extra argument against what I've said, no matter how silly it may be, slip by. I've seen enough AHS to know what it is all about, and I've always had mixed feelings about it - I never agreed with or enjoyed any of the graphically explicit content. But the actors have been/are absolutely talented. Their talent is what has made me watch AHS, and this time around, Gaga is amkimg me, and not the absurd content. There are thousands of pictures of Gaga on the internet, you didn't have to use the one were she is portraying a serial killer who also kidnaps children. That picture is glamorizing violence and murder. It doesn't matter how widespread murder is in the media, it's still as wrong as rape. Your whole argument is still hypocritical. Just because you didn't enjoy the graphically explicit content it doesn't change the fact that is still there and you have contributed to the problem by following the show. All the actors have other projects were they don't kill and torture people. This is not the first time rape is part of the show, Evan's character was s-xually abused by his own mom on season 3. Whispering 18,865
You can put it however you want, it is still wrong. I'm pretty sure we all know how disgusting rape is, we don't need visual representations left and right to remind us constantly and maybe even encourage/push the wicked enough people to do it, however. We don't "need" visual representations of any violence, yet we see it all the time on TV, in movies, on YouTube and in the news. Do you avoid all these mediums of entertainment? Do you avoid the news, everything on TV and in movies that has to do with violence of any kind? If so, that is entirely your choice, but you made a choice to watch a show with HORROR in the title, with a warning that told you that was for Mature Audiences only. If a horror rape scene is going to offend you, then you should also be offended by murder and cannabalism. Do you think that scene is going to push the wicked to go out and eat their victims. You are focusing on one form of violence, when there are multiple forms of violence in every season and every episode of this show and in hundreds of TV shows and movies that are popular and seen by millions and millions of people. Harry 26,836
Let us not forget that rape has been featured in literally every season of American Horror Story. This is not even the worse one as it's clearly a metaphor, the guy is not *really* even being raped.
EssenceOfPop 215
LOL, this was beyond ridiculous. Stay pressed. Through the fire; we're born again.
EssenceOfPop 215
It's like, nobody can create visual art anymore without being backhanded in the face. The rape scene isn't just for provocativeness, its reflecting upon reality, what is real for many; addiction, emotional + physical discomfort, narcissism, escapism, all of it. Through the fire; we're born again.

JusKeepBreathin 19,311
He was in it for like 5 seconds in the house when the alarms went off. He was the one walking in the shadows, I believe. I was wondering where he saw Evan. I was like was he the demon raping the other dude? Evan Peters wasn't even in the episode Can this person get more pathetic? king of being clumped together with all the other similar looking white guys even tho he wasn't in the episode nor does he look like any of the other guys on the show when will your fav? who knows honestly. emma roberts is an abuser
djBuffoon 11,967
This "review" isn't trash, it's... you guessed it.
badgalriri 1,124
this is so annoying to me. What bothers me about this review is that it really honed in on ONE scene and he deemed it as garbage. As a victim of rape, i found no issue with that scene besides the fact that it was way too long. I hate that in this culture, people are so quick to judge rape victims and rape in general as something way too taboo for any type of viewing. They'd rather not know it exists. Men, Women, Children, and animals can be killed on screen but god forbid someone is raped, something that is far more common. It annoys me to sucha huge extent that this guy was so mortified that he had to watch a "comedic actor" take on such a role where he is raped on screen. God forbid the man takes on something other than the comedic role. God forbid. **** vanity Fair they should be extremely embarrassed about this scathing review. Not that they should have given AHS: Hotel 5 stars. They are entitled to bash and hate AHS all they want but to simply say it was garbage due to one scene? it's mortifying because theres a deeper meaning to it. Let's be ****ing real for a bit. sipthistea 21,099
0 professional...BUTHe has a point. I don't know, but I got the feeling that there wasn't a line of story that really connected every event that was going on through the episode. And also, there was no thrill, no mystery, which I think is important when you're doing horror. No expectations about what's happening next. Of course I liked everyone's work, but something is missing. Hopefully the rest of the series will start explaining everything. Bad Bromance 5,809
At least Gaga had nothing to do with this negative review.? IKR?? I'm so relieved he actually liked Gaga and didn't have anything bad to say about her because I thought she was great last night! I don't care what you think about unless it is about me. ChicaSkas 22,245
I so agree with this guy. The rape was 10000 percent unnecessary. Do YOU own the 4' by 6' Perfect Illusion promo Poster?
