Katie14 4,828
I can totally relate to that. I thought I was the only one. Before I go to sleep, I always make up disturbing stories and it relaxes me. I think its because darkness is so interesting to me that i am fully engaged in the story and lose all anxiety about my own life. Can anyone else relate? PartySick 160,873
I can :DÂ Milk and cookies are nice but sinister thoughts and dark clouds can be a lovely blanket sometimes. You're stinky

FATCAT 60,100
I can sort of relate to this. I usually fall asleep easiest after crying about the potential loss of a family member. Though, I usually don't like to cry 4 feet from my roommate, so this doesn't work well in college. This kitten over here (meow)
Zenoax 108
I can relate to her too. Recently I've been watching serial killer documentaries before I sleep and my mother ain't happy about that. Less is more / Less is a bore
Kermit 15,807
I fall asleep thinking of utterly disgusting s-xually related thoughts that would scare people to death. âFor me, insanity is super sanity. ChasingGhosts 726
I can relate to her too. Recently I've been watching serial killer documentaries before I sleep and my mother ain't happy about that. Oh this seems like a good idea, I might try it! I'm exactly the same though. Sister 9,907
While scary things do not comfort me, I am usually thinking of or relating to the darkness. It just seems like I naturally gravitate to it. Maybe it does comfort me or it just seems like me. I fall asleep thinking of stories that I wish to happen or just make up for the time, usually just mystery stories. The future's uncertain and the end is always near. Shadow 6,632
I can relate as well. Not really a comfort, but more like a release.  The sight of horror and death is enjoyable to me like people enjoy roller coasters, it's a high.Nature in itself does more to comfort me, after all the noise fades away. Do your own research.
Bebe 17,094
I can relate, but I try to avoid such thoughts now. I find them unhelpful and they just fuel my depression.

Sister 9,907
I have tried to fight it and try and make my lighter side more important.Have any of you tried that or worried about it, being too dark? I have also considered the duality nature of us humans and how that is useful. My dark side is far more comfortable and easier to reach, for me, than my light.Anyone? I am just curious. I really used to be obsessed with this thought. The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
Miker 5,683
Any diversion (even if it is evil) can be less scary than real life issues that stress you out is the way I take that. .The problem is I can't forget the real everyday issues easily.
