But who really is the biggest female artists of all time? Its got to be one of them. Pick one and lets hear why you chose who you did. Or big as in honoured, respected, assuming of legendary status, etc. Like, 'being in the history books' is usually brought by the latter more often. Iwontell 7,312 Posted October 5, 2015 Share Posted October 5, 2015 I think both are big and very important, but in different ways...Madonna has a huge presence in pop culture, through her work she allowed women and gays more free to be themselves and she's famous wherever she goes.Meanwhile, Barbra has a level of recognition and respect in the entertainment industry that few have achieved, she has done it all and she did it all masterfully (proof of that: she has "EGOTed") .So I think it depends on what each one thinks to be important...but both will always be remembered. She's become a star in basically every medium she could. Broadway, film, television, directing. She's quite unanimously known as the greatest voice of all time. I don't think her impact is as large, but she'll be a known icon and legend for centuries. Madonna will probably merge with other pop stars in the future as I don't think she has as many defining and unique qualities. Kevin Parker, Mac Demarco, Mark Ronson, and a stoned Lady Gaga. The biggest selling female artist of all time, the highest grossing solo act ever and the most influential woman in popculture. Madonna's accomplishments are not to be discussed, they're facts.
