chromaticka 4,350
Do you guys think Lady Gaga would be extremely successful as she is today if the start of her career with 'Just Dance' came out this year and continued on with all the singles and albums up to 2022? or would she just be a one hit wonder?I feel like the GP don't really care for new artists nowadays, the good times to start a singing career was back in the 2000s, now everyone is like making one successful single and never really staying. I Met Lady Gaga On February 7th, 2016; Attended Superbowl 51 and Coachella 2017.

Warholian 6,880
Right now everything is controlled by the internet. And on the internet a year is a decade. I think people would tire of her quickly. Not only that, but 50% of the attention she got in the beginning which led her to success was her clothing. She changed everything when she came on the scene, and now everyone has 'gaga' fashion. If she came out today nobody would even blink and eye when some girl wears a hair bow. Kevin Parker, Mac Demarco, Mark Ronson, and a stoned Lady Gaga. Need I say more?

darkchylde 14,857
This is absurd, Halsey basically came out yesterday and she's selling big + has a sold out tour in the US + a just announced tour in Europe. You just have to be good, which isn't happen very much lately. I mean, what have we had lately, Iggy? Trainor? Pff.

Tycho 3,694
She's impacted pop culture so much to the point it's hard to imagine the few years without her impact. The "crazy fashion" fad wouldn't of been a thing and who knows if we would see some of her contemporaries where they are today. I feel like if The Fame came out today, while it's a great album people may have viewed it with less enthusiasm. Everyones suddenly a critic and might of attached generic or bland with it. Pop girls have been treated poorly lately which sucks.
adamsenigma 9,520
I don't think so. Y'all should understand that EDM is not longer relevant and if there's a EDM hit it sales will drop faster than Carly Rae's career.
Klou 2,414
She helped boost dance/pop into popularity, which the US is already bored of. She wouldn't be nearly as successful.
