I love them all for different reasons, Born to Die was amazing production wise, I could listen to the deluxe version of that album on a loop and not skip a single track.

Then there's paradise which I felt lost its coherence a little towards the end, felt like Yayo and Bel Air were tacked onto the end of what was shaping up to be a great addition to that era.

Ultraviolence was so eerie and cinematic in its sound, I could listen to the melodies all day long. It's not a particularly cheerie album, but when I'm feeling a little sad or melancholy this is the album I go to.

And finally Honeymoon is a mixture of all of he above. It has the slower sad songs, tracks which focus more on production than others, but the vocals I feel this time are a step up. The technique is much better than the spoken word kind of style Born to Die had, and not as monotone as Ultraviolence.

This. I can relate when you said you listen to the album when you're sad. I don't even have to be sad.

I don't think people realize lana mixed all 3 previous albums into one!

Stressed, depressed, but well dressed.

Born To Die because I have a lot of memories with this record..... BUT Paradise is flawless and has my favourite lana song on it "Bel Air"

Ultraviolence is AMAZING, and Old Money is my second favourite Lana song...

Honeymoon is my fave also because it's chill and happy.. so

I can't choose sorry.

Yes, stan.

Get into Ultraviolence and Honeymoon too, daddy.

If you haven't listened to them in full yet, I do advise actually listening to Honeymoon first though.

I got Ultraviolence as soon as it came out :awesome: I was a bit underwhelmed though, I really like half of the songs and the other half I really don't, to a point where I can't just let them continue playing and have to skip them :rip:

I've yet to try Honeymoon but it's not something I've been excited to do because I liked High By The Beach but Honeymoon and the other promo song really bored me

I always skip Cruel World, Ultraviolence, Guns and Roses, and Florida Kilos. Even though its my favorite album tied with honeymoon. :madge:

Blasphemy. I'll forgive you though because UV is really Marmite, you'll either love it or be lying to yourself :emma:

There's people that disagree with me, but I think Honeymoon and Terrence Loves You are the lesser of the songs on Honeymoon so you should get hyped. It's a great album :gaycat:

I was. That thread was practically my home on the week of release but it's quietened down a little now. :emma:

I did see you were new in that thread though, so if I haven't said it already, welcome!

Ultraviolence >>>>>

It's just perfect and even the weakest tracks (The Other Woman, Guns & Roses) are enjoyable.

An absolute masterpiece. The mood, emotion, and atmosphere of this record is something God himself would find stunning.

Anyone who thinks BTD is the better record when it has tracks like Diet Mountain Dew, Dark Paradise, and Radio... :awkney:

But I understand this is about our favorite record aka which one we enjoy the most aka which one we have more of an attachment to. I have grown out of BTD (even tho it slays me to this day and I listen to half of those songs religiously) in a sense so there is a sense of distance now between myself and that album.

Ultimately Ultraviolence is all I could ever want from Lana. It is the crown jewel of her discography to me and it makes me sad a lot of her fans aren't able to experience the brilliance. :flutter:

Born to Die. It was the reason why I love Lana's music in the first place! 2012 was off to a good start with that album. :flutter:

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
