LeoFameMonster 1,592
all this means is that no new music till the end of 2016 or early 2017. We all know how long it takes Gaga to do an album and we all know what happens to singers who are out of the radio for more than 3/4 years- their fans drop like flies and they fade away.it would be a totally bad move to wait that long. unless they resurrect some ARTPOP 2.0 songs and add them to the album as fillers and release it in 2016 early. The new Britney Spears is coming (jk) No seriously, I think some people here could be right, it may be a strategy to create hype and release something by surprise when nobody is ready (like Beyoncé did). At least I hope.

Bloody Matt 5,200
I would like to know what he means by "direction" It's all so unclear that it seems it's done on purpose tbh
Mars 1,875
Hasn't found a direction yet In future interview: "I knew the direction three days after ARTPOP was released"
JustPokeHerFace 2,564
I think it means that she'll be taking notes on what to do/what not to do in terms of her image, marketing, and stylistic approach to her record when she gets reception from AHS. But she's obviously been working on the album for a long time, so hopefully she has enough material to release in the first half of 2016. It's not that I can't not wait for new music, but from a marketing standpoint, releasing anytime but in the first half of 2016 would be a bad move. Things are starting to pick up musically, so there's too much competition now. In the second half of 2016, she would have to deal with Taylor and Katy's new eras AT LEAST. Anytime after that, and the momentum that's been getting built this year will have long died. So the first half of 2016 (a BTW-type rollout) would probably be best for her because she'll have the most time to shine and can probably sell the most with the least amount of competition. Edit: waiT at that sales update for Cheek to Cheek. 622,000 copies sold in the US alone. Given the current sales climate, and the fact that it's a jazz album with no radio hits to shift copies, that is a phenomenal number. If they discounted it as the holidays roll around, the album could probably shift a few thousand more copies.

TEANUS 12,072
Except we really have no idea what this means. This could be talking about art direction tbh. All we know is she's figuring out the direction, whether it be musically, artistically, or lyrically British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
Levine 22,063
Perhaps it means she writes and records many songs, but is not sure which aspects of herself she wants to bundle into a complete work. She could have nothing finished, or she could have 20 finished. There's no earthly way of knowing which direction we are going.20 finished songs and she doesn't know the direction of the new record?I hope you realize that It'd be the worst thing ever.
