She used to sound really organic and powerful but now she screams and intentionally forces her voice to crack too much, which I find quite irritating. I feel like producers find the quirk in someone's voice and then over enhance to the point of making them sound like a cartoon. It reminds me of how Adam Levine's old vocals with Maroon 5 felt natural but then his vocals became super shrill, nasally, high-pitched, irritating. Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.
