or because it's messy, has terrible acting, relies on racist jokes, and has no central plot but ok, :rip:

you couldn't be more wrong. the acting is great for a comedy show, the show actually spots with racism and racist stereotypes, also it definately doesn't rely on it. there's were like 2-3 comments that were mildly racist. and there's no central plot??? are you kidding me? have you seen the show?? the plot is clearly about a serial killer that's murdering people and everyone's trying to figure out who is

:madge:

Its a hit because of online viewing people don't watch real time TV anymore atleast not our generations. I have a Smart TV and paid like $800 for it and used it like 12 times in a year.

The second week ratings on everything that premiered last Tuesday went down. Premiers tend to be the highest rated episode along with the finale. If you want to see horrible ratings check out Minority Report on Fox. That show tanked. Last weeks ratings went up 80% with the DVR views and it was also up against the premier episode of AOS. Next week it will be up against the premier of The Flash. So there is a lot of movement happening in ratings in the first few weeks before we get to see how it fairs against regular episode of other shows. Also last week it 1.6 was and later in the afternoon after all the ratings cam in it went to 1.7. Hopefully it will do the same this week. Final ratings aren't in until later and streaming and DVR are not in until the end of the week.

No one really watches TV live anymore. You can't really depend on air night viewership. Like Scream Queen had 4 million tuning in but over the course of the week it rose to 7.3 million from streaming like Hulu and FoxTV and other sources. So to determine a hit show you have to look at all the outlets people watch tv on.

That's why so many good shows get cancelled because people aren't watching tv shows as they air anymore or even on a TV

This thread is my first time hearing of this show.

Are you from the US?

I've seen massive billboards, commercials non-stop, the stars have been on every talk show, they have an amusement park ride named after the show, the promo involved in the roll out for this show has been intense.

That's funny. I live in Austin. I haven't seen anything. I don't watch TV though.

I definetely don't like the name of the show. I watched American Horror Story when it debuted because my mom thought it would be good and the name was really interesting. Maybe that has something to do with it.

episode 3? didnt this debut last week? :emma:

lol the reason it was so long last week is because Ep 1 & 2 were shown back to back. Yesterday was technically Ep 3.:sara:

Yeah, if you don't watch television you wouldn't have bore witness to the onslaught of promotion this show has been given. Though, my Mother who doesn't watch television, made a joke about the Pope coming to America because he wanted to catch the premier of Scream Queens, so I think it's gotten a significant amount of non-television press as well.

As for the name, I can understand why you don't like it, but I think the name Scream Queens captures how camp the show is. It's a show for queens.
