Getting tired of reading that comment TBH, and people freaking out because her name actually shows up on the trailers.

The cast of AHS has been consistently stable over the first 4 seasons, with Jessica being the lead and the rest of the ensemble doing their thing.  Occasionally new actors have been introduced, but nobody that would be considered a huge name.   There are a few great actors on the show and a bunch of serviceable ones.

Jessica is leaving and the franchise needed a bit of a refresh after four years.  So they pulled off one of the biggest casting coup's they possibly could, probably the one woman with the highest name recognition in popular culture.

Casting Gaga and putting her name in the trailers is a signal that this season is not going to be the same as past ones.  It's really that simple.  And Gaga is a huge reason for why it's going to be different.  Of course they are going to push her.   It's a way of saying "not the same old AHS."

As a Gaga fan and AHS fan, I think this is a match made in heaven.  I'm proud to see her name being pushed forward, because I trust her and the writers to make it memorable.

I think it's good Gaga's in the trailer's name and what not, we should be HAPPY our fave is being the focus of the show practically so far, other stans if their fave was getting this would be excited. Get excited instead of worrying about how it will affect LG5's sales and crap (because let's be honest that's the reason why people are complaining, they don't want overexposure)

I'm not against Gaga being promoted as the new lead, it's quite normal...

I just think now they just should slow down with promoting Gaga, for the surprise. I don't think they need to do more promo for Gaga being the show until the first episode is aired.. Evryone is now conscious Gaga is the main character, now just let things happen in a natural way... Just my opinion..

I am a fan of AHS and tbh, I was actually surprised that Gaga had a lot of promo from AHS. Yes, I expected an adequate amount but this was overwhelming (which is a great thing for us).

I read a lot of forums about AHS and most fans get that she has to be billed that way because she is easily the biggest star in it but some are just plain rude. Its just the way it is, I guess.

I am sad about her leaving because she IS a brilliant actress and oh honey Gaga is NOWHERE her level in acting hence Jessica is not being replaced. Get real :) 

Im a bit aafraid how much they promote Gaga... Its going to mount The presure and critics are going to go hard on her...

But are we even sure she is a lead? Seems odd to just cast an inexperienced pop singer for lead. I have a feeling her name is used for promo more and her PART is actually an extended cameo or supporting for The season. Sort of "in The backround" but still very present. Im just speculating here and I could be absolutely wrong.:) we'll see soon :)

I don't think people should react this strongly over promotion tactics.

Because it's promotion tactics.

Everyone been briefed about it, so they know what to expect at least.

All these people working with Gaga are professionals.

They know what they are doing.

I don't think there's any jealousy happening with any other stars.

It's just some of you don't accept what's been given.

Lol that's not really what people are saying though. It's fair to be skeptical of how they're essentially using her name to market and promote the show. It's normal and expected, but it can come off badly on her.

Great for us as fans because we get lots of new content, but we already know how the AHS fans are reacting to it lol. We all want her appearance on the show to be a triumph, which I'm sure it will be, but I just don't want her only purpose of being there to be a big ratings draw. They're hyping the hell out of her - and we as Gaga fans should know how much excessively hyping something up can hurt the general reaction in the long run. It's a fair concern to have.

People are allowed to see things in a different light to you.
